What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Old friend - Page 3 Empty Re: Old friend

Post by Andrew Thompson Wed Dec 28, 2011 11:42 pm

"Well if Death is better than life, I really don't want to know." he said. He really didn't want to die, he was too young to do so. He wanted to end up getting married one day and turning into one of those bitter old men that screamed at kids for being on his lawn. That seemed like fun to him. "I've got a lot to do before I go, and perhaps passing on my generation...heh." He waitied a minute for the staircase to readjust again yet didn't. Irritated, he walked over near the door that didn't seem familiar, but as soon as his second foot was near the door, the staircase moved again.

"Oh great!" he exclaimed, his face twisted in an irritated form of him and he groaned. "I guess we gotta wait again. These damn stairs hate me, I'm telling you!" He looked at the portraits out of boredom and noticed most of them were laughing. "Shut up!" he said to the portraits, which made them laugh a little harder.

Yes, the idea sounded nice. Watch how your kids grow, watch, how the people and things change, and by the time when you'll get used to all of it, you're an old person who can't do much anymore.
Miseria didn't want to become this old catwoman (which she thought she would) after her late fifties. She was so curious about death and what happens after it, but there was no way to find out. She sighed. “Passing on the tradition to put on a pink dress with white beard and celebrate my birthday each ear?“ She looked at Andrew.

When he stood up, Miseria was still sitting on the stairs, watching him walk to the door, and then the stairs suddenly started changing again. The hall echoed with painting's laughter. Miseria only rolled her eyes. “Just ignore them, otherwise they won't shut up,“ she said, finally standing up.

Andrew was still a little irritated by the staircases behavior and let out a small sigh. He looked at the distance from the spot he stood at and the distance to the other staircase and raised an eyebrow. He eyeballed the total coverage and maybe thought it was about 5 or 7feet. He wondered if he could perhaps make a jump that far. He looked right and left, checking to see if there was any teachers lurking around the staircase and was surprised that there was only a few students. Andrew walked to the back of the door and leaned forward. With a charge, he lept from the spot and landed his hands on the railing with a grunt. Pulling himself over, he threw his legs over the railing and met back with Miseria.

"So let's continue then," he said, keeping his walk in a slow pace "and no, I wouldn't want you to scar my kids by dressing them up in pretty little dresses....well maybe when they're 17. Depending." Andrew finally got to the seventh floor and looked into the hallways. "Well it's good the room is quiet these days. Makes the hallway seem a little less...suspicious than before."

Miseria didn't bother herself with jumping and calculating the distance between the two stairs. When Andrew jumped, Mis only stood there and watched him. Soon, the stairs moved to the right place and she stepped quickly off of them.
“I won't scar them...“ She raised her eyebrows. Andrew's future kids were innocent beings! They didn't deserve to be treated like their ancestor. “I'll let them choose the color,“ she promised. Of course! Maybe boys will wear purple instead of pink? Or baby blue. She'll look over all the dress codes and see which one would fit them perfectly. Girls, on the other hand, wouldn't mind wearing pink, would they?

She didn't notice the silence of the room until Andrew told her about it. Miseria looked around and gave him a slight nod. Indeed. But it was only a good thing, wasn't it? They had enough time now to walk in and out of room of requierments without being spotted. Teachers didn't worry much about the rule breaking right now either. “I think it was much more fun to slip in and out when there were people who watched you at every corner,“ Mis admitted. She felt a little rush of the adrenaline each time. Eh, she just missed adventures so much.

"So you won't let me wear something besides blue or anything like that?" he grinned "even after considering everything we've been through?" She obviously wanted to see him like that, and it creeped him out a little. "Why do you want to see me in a dress anyway?" he asked with a curious smile. Hopefully his kids would never have to go what he would have to go through soon...he'd feel extrememly bad for his sons really. "If I have a daughter," he said quickly "she will be the one to wear the dresses. Not the boys." Haha! Loophole!

Andrew walked to the entrance of the Room of Requirement and walked inside, the room already knowing that he wanted to go inside. Looking around, the room was large and looking like it was set up for a new PA meeting. He wasn't sure if Mis had already been alerted that Sam had tried taking charge of PA, so he'd have to say something soon. "I'd rather not get detention," he said calmly, closing the door behind Mis "Barker seems like a F*** up person from what I've heard. He tortures the students who get detention. Not good."

“Nope,“ she replied shortly and smiled happily at Andrew. What was the question? Didn't he have enough courage to wear a little dress for this special occasion? It was her bithday after all! “Exactly! We've been through a lot and you've shown courage and strenght and Now you can't even put on a little dress?“ Miseria raised her eyebrows, trying to create a surprised look on her face. Unfortunately, it was just a cheap copy of the natural look. “Aww, come on, Andrew? Where is the natural courage of the Gryffindor Lion?“

“Oh no,“ she said calmly. She was about to make it a tradition only for boys! Girls can, of course, join in, but guys will be the ones who will be forced to wear pink or baby blue tights and glittery fairy dress and maybe some cute make-up on their faces.

Miseria entered the Room soon after Andrew, and she looked around, sighing quietly. Of course she knew that Sam was taking over Potter's Army right now, but soon she'd be back, and take her position back. “Ah Barker,“ she said, looking over her shoulder at Andrew. “I know that he does that. And I've been thinking that maybe it's about time for us to teach him a lesson, or will I do it myself since I'm the actual leader, but I'd be expelled... I'm not afraid of being weaker than he is, no, nor am I afraid of getting killed by his hand, but... Ah. Nevermind. We just need to kick his pretty little butt,“ She walked across the room. As she did that, a fireplace appeared from the wall with warm fire. So did the table with her cup of hot chocolate and cookies and two comfortable chairs. She sat on one and took her cup. “You can warm yourself now,“ Miseria told Andrew before taking a sip from her drink.

"Cross dressing was never part of the Gryffindor motto," he said "I'd rather like to wear jeans and t-shirts, not skirts and tight tube tops...or whatever." Did he say too much now? Christ, he hoped not. "And my sons will hate you for that," he smiled, already imagining what their reactions could be like if he agreed to it "they'd probably want to wear masks or something just to hide the shame." Andrew looked around the room and began to move things out of the way. Sure, it magically appeared anything at the slightest whim, but when it came to cleaning, it never did so. Irony.

"Barker doesn't like to confront directly though," he said, taking a seat on a nice chair that had recently spawned "he likes to torture and control. Just recently, I heard from one of his victims that he trapped him and his girlfriend in the Forbidden Forest, letting the creatures hunt them down. Apparently, they barely made it out with their lives." Barker was a sick man for going after children. He shook his head and sighed, showing signs of irritation. "And he knows we can't confront him," he said calmly "because he could expel us if he wanted to."

Andrew looked at the plate of cookies and grabbed a small one. He took a bite out of it, feeling the cookie melt in his mouth with a mix of the dough and the chocolate chips. That was his favorite kind of cookies. Almost instantly, he felt like his problems just went away and never wanted to come back. "It's nice this room can be used for just more than just training." he said.

She didn't say anything, however, she really imagined Andrew wearing tights and tube tops. Oh good lord, what a childish mind she had! Instead of thinking about something normal, she was hoping to transform Andrew into a Draq Queen.
“Why are you so sure that you will have sons, ay?“ she looked at him. Then she sighed quietly and took another sip from her hot chocolate. She reached out her hand and grabbed one cookie from the plate.

“Oh my god, that sounds awesome!“ She gasped loudly, but then, realizing what she just said, Miseria coughed. The idea itselt; getting tied in a forest and wild creatures approaching sounded actually quite fun and... fun! “Anyways... To get your enemy down is to gain their trust. So is with Baker. I believe that even though he's a cruel wizard, he needs someone to trust as well. All people do, even if they claim that they don't. Also, we can make it a surprise attack, though I guess that he's always on his guard since he's making more and more enemies every day.“ Miseria looked at her cookie, holding it gently in her hand. It was almost like she was talking mostly to her food not to Andrew.

“Indeed,“ she agreed, though her thoughts were still circling around Baker and the things that they could do to him. Andrew was right. They could get expelled if they'd try to harm him, but it was worth to try, right? But then again, if they'd fail, Baker would torture students even more severely.

From how Miseria looked, she seemed to have been thinking about him from the image he provided. Oh god, what had he done? "No. Just no." he said flat out. "And I want to have a son to teach Quidditch to and have him inherit any family business that I may begin. Who knows? And I wouldn't want to stop until I got one, so win-win for me and my wife!" He laughed and leaned forward in his chair, tired of sitting upright. He was 17 and yet already thinking about having a family and a business. How that would work, he would never know.

Andrew raised an eyebrow at her response. What she said was...demented. He slid back a little in his chair and smiled. "You have a point," he said, raising his brow as a sign of acknowledgement "but I wouldn't want to be the poor bastard to get close to him. I would pretty much end up decking the guy if he even tried talking to me about his torture fetishes or anything like that." He toke another bite out of his cookie and munched on it, savoring the flavor.

"But I do wish to rid Hogwarts of that menace," he said calmly "I wouldn't mind taking a shot at him myself. The only problem is, we couldn't let him see us or report our image to the faculty. If they even had the slightest idea of an uprising like that, things would turn to chaos here. Besides the already distrust and black-lined positions here already."

She smiled; Andrew had seen through her. Her thoughts were so obvious on her face so it wasn't even hard thing to do. "Too late!" She couldn't take back the things that she'd thought. But even Andrew had to admit that even though it was shameful, it was funny. Miseria would laugh if someone would imagine her in tights and wearing a little fairy dress. In fact, she'd even do that just to have fun and see other's faces. She cared lesa bout her reputation and what people might think about her. It was her life and she lived it to the fullest! "I feel sorry for whoever is going to be your wife." She admitted.

Demented? Maybe. Or it was just the thing that she didn't think the way like the others did. Yes, she was afraid, kind of, but mostly interested in Barker's techniques and his position. He was a psychopath, indeed, and she wanted to figure out how his mind worked. It wouldn't be easy to get a little bit closer to him, however, there was one way. She had to earn herself a detention. "I do?" Miseria looked at Andrew. She'd already forgotten what she told him about gaining Barker's trust; then she sighed again. Where was the Lion's courage? Then again, she understood Andrew perfectly. Who wanted to be tortures?

Miseria took her first bite of the cookie and she felt how the chocolate started melting in her mouth. Ah, what a heavenly gift! Chocolate! "Chaos?... Chaos is good," she smiled.
