Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Expanding Horizons...still. Empty Expanding Horizons...still.

Allen had been in the common room for about three and a half hours now, mainly just reading a book. The front said 'History of Wizardry', yet in reality, he had been reading a muggle book he had brought with him. He wasn't fond of magic that much, that was just how he was. Allen was more interested with reading about Muggle things and muggle technologies, he was hooked! Allen turned to a page in his book, which suddenly caught his eye. Mythology. He couldn't believe how similar this mythology was to the real magical things that had been in this brand new world! Not new to everyone else, but to him!

He smiled and turned another page, reading a little bit more about what Muggles thought about Hydras and the Loch Ness Monster, and many other subjects that would catch any ordinary child's eye. Feeling somewhat paranoid, Allen quickly looked over the edge of his book to see if anyone had been watching him, or wanting to talk to him before he dove into the knowledge. He grinned slightly as no one of particular interest was watching and began to scan the page, soaking up as much knowledge as possible.

The day had started out pretty good, well up until Damitrius had recieved a letter during breakfast. At first she had believed it was a letter from her father, but once she opened it she realized it was from her older sister, the one she hated, and she immediately left the Gryffindor table at the Grand Hall. She ran through the corridors, up to Gryffindor Tower and she tumbled into the common room. She ran up to the girl's dormitories and threw herself onto her bed, reading the letter. Alexis wanted to see her, but Mitri didn't want to see her older sister, and after reading the letter the first thing she did was rip it up. She didn't want anything to do with her sister, no matter how much she would insist on seeing her. She threw the letter pieces over her bed and let them fall on the floor, before she got up and walked calmly out of the dorms.

She went down to the common room and she sat down in one of the chairs near the fireplace. She stared at the empty space, as if waiting for the fire to just automatically come on. Mitri sighed heavily and closed her eyes for a moment, think about the past two years. Alexis was turned into a werewolf, and that was when Mitri began to distance herself from her sister. It wasn't Alexis's fault though... it was Kyle's fault, he had turned her. Maybe she shouldn't be so hard on Alexis, maybe she should be mad at Kyle... not her sister... She sat there staring at the floor in front of her, not paying attention to who was in the common room with her.

Allen heard several footsteps moments ago of someone running through, almost frantically. He had never bothered to look up, seeing as how he was enticed in his read. He continued to look through the pages, and felt like a little kid in a candy store when they showed an illustration or two. Miraculously, the illustrations were nearly spot on, the picture of the dragon catching his eye the most. How was is that humans had ever managed to see such things, but not see them as a general exsistance? It really baffled him, yet he would try not to think about it, seeing as how even in the wizarding world, there were two secrets. Ones to be kept, and ones to be kept hidden.

Allen heard the footsteps again, wondering now who it was. He moved the top skim of the book and looked to see who the person was, most of his bangs were in the way however, so he really couldn't tell. He swiped them from his eyes with his left hand in a quick motion and finally saw who it was. It was a girl, who looked slightly older than him. She was either 16 or 17, perhaps even 15. Her look told Allen that she was thinking heavily, something he did whenever something tragic happened. "Excuse me," he said in a soft voice to prevent from startling her "but are you alright?"

Damitrius was brought up from her thoughts by a soft vioce that seemed to be adressing her, and she looked over to where the voice was coming from. It seemed to be from a boy who seemed about a year or two younger than her and she sighed. Were her emotions really that noticeable? She blinked a couple of times before she nodded, telling the boy she was fine. But she really wasn't, she couldn't stop thinking about her sister and the idiot who turned her into a monster. It wasn't fair that her normal sister was taken away from her by one of those things. She continued to look at the empty fireplace and she sighed heavily.

It isn't fair. Alexis isn't the same anymore... it's all his fault... It's her fault too.. she liked him and she chose to be around him so much... it's her fault!! she thought angrily in her mind. Her fist hit the arm of the chair where she sat and she pulled her legs in, up closer to her, as she continued to think about her sister and her creator. That's what Alexis got for trusting one of them, she got turned into one of them and now everyone hates her... or almost everyone... She still sisn't get how Damien and Chris liked her, especially since they knew what she was. It wasn't fair that she was treated better than a real human...

Allen blinked a couple times, wondering what in the world just happened. The girl just hit the chair and then proceeded to curl up into herself, like a ball. He hadn't much experience in solving women, yet it was obvious that she had something on her mind and it was making her sad. Allen's gut told him not to get involved, that this wasn't his buisness and that he needed to just keep to himself. Yet, he knew that he needed new friends, and helping one person shouldn't be that bad. "Miss?" he said "are you okay?" Allen pretty much repeated himself, yet that was his only way of initiative. He wouldn't just get up and sit by her, that'd be invading her space. It'd be better for her to come to him or something...whatever worked.
