GENERAL APPEARANCE: Peeves, in his true form, is a short stocky being with brown, floppy hair. He wears a cocky grin and his eyes have a mischievous twinkle to them. His expressions seem lopsided and he wears whatever outfits he finds appropriate. Though he as the ability to walk, he rarely does in this form, preferring to fly above everyone head. He has an expressionate face that shows a wide variety of emotions, typically fake, and he enjoys utilizing this skill to aide him in his mischief.
In his Faolan form, he has a thin, slender body. His jaw is large and curved, his nose large, his eyebrows thin and extend farther than his squinty eyes. He can also be rather expressionate in this form, but he typically has a tragic, mysterious aura about himself. He has that look about him that makes most girls (even some guys think) “why is it that I am attracted to him?” He wears simple clothes in this form. A button up or loose tee shirt and skinny jeans.
Then there is Bria. She also has a very expressionate face. She’s rather tanner than the other two forms, as well as shorter, and well… a girl. He used to feel awkward in this form, but it really does help out. Now, he loves playing Bria. He even developed a nasally voice for her and this constant look of confused terror. She has longish black-brown wavy hair and dark eyes. She dresses in traditional Hogwarts garb.
No matter what, though, Peeves always has his very expressionate countenance. His eyes are always the same shade of brown that look lively and mischievous.. but the deeper you look, the more depthless and soulless they seem.

BOGGART: Disappearing.

DEMENTOR: The year he was almost banned from Hogwarts for risking the life of a young girl. He just got that Headmaster thrown out- as in, admitted into St Mungos.
VERITASERUM: That he poses as students to get to know them and fulfill his secret longings for companionship.
MIRROR OF ERISED: To exist forever, as he does now, with no complications.
PERSONALITY: Peeves literally thrives off of chaos, so he loves to create it any way he can. He lives to prank and annoy and irritate. He likes to sing and dance and he finds that his worst pet PEEVE is going completely unrecognized. He does not mind being punished or reprimanded so much as he hates being ignored or not being allow proper credit for his disaster. He likes to spy and to learn about people, only so he can use all against them. What he won't admit, is watching everyone so much sort of gives him a complex, where he realizes he can never relate- sometimes, this causes him sincere distress.
He has two forms he takes to cause disorder. The first is Faolan, typically a seventh year Ravenclaw, who seems tragic and mysterious. Peeves will not admit it, but he has sometimes used this form to become better acquainted with the older females of Hogwarts- it's been 1000, even a poltergeist has needs. Faolan is more of his informant than anything, the perfect vessel to spy on and to feel included simulataneously.
Then there is Bria. An annoying, 13 year old Gryffindor. She likes to sing, talk in a nasally voice, and often accidentally gets into all sorts of trouble. She is most often his scapegoat or his disguise. He never uses his forms around professors unless he alters their looks to avoid sucpicion. He uses them sparingly enough that by the time people begin to wonder... they graduate.
Peeves, surprisingly, feels foreign feelings (isn't alliteration great) growing in him ever decade or so. Right now he is really he has this weird thing called loyalty to Hogwarts and that these affections even occassionally reaches out to the people in it. He sees a first year being bullied and is shocked to realize later that he has focused his energies lately on said bullies. He makes up for it by going after forementioned first year and is convinced it was all coincidence.
However, he cannot deny, the ickle students intrigue him..

ORIGINAL CREATOR: The Founders- The strife between them was enough to cause Peeves to come into being. As they got older and they began to die, he began to fade- until the conflicting emotions of the hundreds of students began to send negative emotions into the atmosphere. And then, he began to feed off them.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Being Created: Peeves has only ever had two official creators. The first was the founders of Hogwarts, as he appeared with the school. When they began to disagree over the way to run the school and they began to split, Peeves was born. They never realized they had created him- though Rowena may have (she hid this fact)- just realized he had somehow entered their school. Though he annoyed them, they also found they were intrigued by him, and allowed him to remain in the school.
After they began to get old, retire, die off, give up their feelings of hatred… he began to fade. Peeves invested himself in the lives of the students, causing chaos and distress. As their chaos faded, the students grew, and before he could disappear, his life force adapted to be based on the feelings of the adolescents that made up the school- supplying him with the best reserve of emotions any poltergeist could wish to have.
Middle Centuries: Peeves grew from a poltergeist that simply wanted fun to quite the malicious fellow. After a few centuries, he began to get nasty, leading to several charges laid against him- the worst being the near death of a girl. He was almost banned from the castle, but he managed to drive the Headmaster out of the school. He, however, reevaluated the way he handled things and decided that, for his own sake, a more harmless style of pranking was better. It was about this time he began to really adopt the idea of changing forms, though he never had one he really enjoyed until about the 1800s. This was Bria. She helped him get away with a lot. In the early 1920s he created Faolan and since then they grew and evolved with the times.
Recently: Peeves enjoyed his work but he came into his hayday in 1789- the year the Weasley twins entered Hogwarts. He finally had his proper competition- he had had worthy-ish competitiors, but these were the ones he respected most. As he began to try harder, matched with a pair that new Hogwarts as well as he, for the first time, really began to develop affectionate feelings for the castle. In 1995, he broke character and followed the orders of a student- the twins- and helped drive Umbridge mad. And in 1998, he fearlessly defended Hogwarts, finding he really did not like people interfering. He could not help it- he sort of cared. Afterwards, he fell right back into his rhythm- annoying teachers and students alike, perfecting his other forms, and doing whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted it.
