And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Revelation--Atrum - Page 5 Empty Re: Revelation--Atrum

Post by Jess Potter Wed Aug 17, 2011 10:44 pm

As the deafening silence of the atrium broke to give way to an explosion of cheering, Jess simply stood there, a mixture of anger and extreme unease lying on his face as he stood looking at the podium in complete silence.

He vaguely heard Brian and Michael talk, and felt the former brush past him as he left the Atrium, and Jess briefly considered doing the same before realising that leaving would help no one other than the man who was calling himself the Minister.

Jumping a little as he heard his name nearby Jess turned to look at Kingsley, his face still mirroring the feelings inside him, feelings which were soon turning to rage.

"Yes," he said slowly, starting to nod his head, "Yes, I think that leaving this place is for the best, we have work to do, very important work," he said quietly, before shaking his head and cursing vehemently for a few seconds.

"Who voted? I'm acting chief of the Wizengamot and I heard of no such vote!" He shouted, his voice barely rising above the din of the crowd. It appeared that the rest of the world was happy to swallow lies, and Gellert had played all the right cards this time.

Fear had been rife within the Wizarding Community ever since the battle for Hogwarts. Fear, and anger. Judging by what had happened here, it'd all been a part of his plan... it just served to show how dangerous he was.

"Come on," he said to Kingsley, turning on his heels and walking out of the Atrium, barely pausing to apologise to anyone who he pushed out of his way, patience was not something he was going to be exercising this day.

As he exited the Atrium he found Brian sitting alone just outside the entrance. "Come on, we need to see him. Kingsley is coming too," he said

Revelation--Atrum - Page 5 Empty Re: Revelation--Atrum

Post by Jaquellene Jack Dyllan Wed Aug 17, 2011 11:02 pm

Jack was looking around- where the hell was the Order in all of this? This was the biggest defeat they had had in a long, long time and there seemed to be no reaction from any of them. As far as Jack knew, she was the only one in the immediate area who had offered any words of dissent about this sudden change of winds. What was going on?

She turned and briefly spotted Michael- he was always one to mirror what Jack was feeling. And yet... hew and Brian were leaving. Jack heard a nearby shout and turned to see Jess Potter, looking outraged... but he and Kingsley moved on. She understood there was a political aspect, but to leave entirely? Someone had to stay and fight this.

Apparently, their positions compromised them too much. Jack, however, was still independent, was still small and young, and had no one to really care if she got chucked in Askaban. And if it meant sacrificing herself, of goodie. She would wholeheartedly volunteer to do it, she would let no one stop her, and she would love doing it. At least she was doing something.

"THIS IS A JOKE," she said, loudly and clearly, causing people around her to look at her and tell her to shut up. She walked forward, pushing people out of her way as she neared Grindelewald. "What happened to democracy, eh? I don't remember wanting you in charge!"

Ne'Os smiled visible as the crowd burst into cheering he couldn't believe Grindelwald's plan worked even better was that the wizarding world bought it without even seeing an proof of election. He scanned the crowd again he saw Shacklebolt wander to the group of order members. He then noticed a couple order members leaving probably to plan some sort of response.

Continuing his scan he saw Jack moving through the crowd shouting. A couple people had told her to be quiet but knowing Jack he knew that wouldn't stop her. He raised his wand slightly not enough to draw the attention of the crowd from Grindelwald but enough to hopefully alert to Jack that Ne'Os not only saw her but was ready to quiet her if she didn't quiet herself.

Michael watched Brian leave, and he understood the young fighter's frustration. The next thing he knew, he saw Jack putting herself right into harm's way. He walked over to her and stood firmly between her and Ne'Os Emof. He whispered firmly into her ear.

"Jack, you know I love you like few other people in this world," he said softly. "I understand exactly how you feel. You know I do. But this will accomplish nothing. Believe me. All is not lost. And all is not what it appears to be here. I need you to not do this. There is so much you don't know. If you have ever, ever trusted me for half a tick, then don't do this. Not now. I will tell you what I can, but if you're dead, I can't tell you a damned thing, and you are of no use to helping us regain our world. Come with me. We need to talk. Now."

Revelation--Atrum - Page 5 Empty Re: Revelation--Atrum

Post by Kingsley Shacklebolt Thu Aug 18, 2011 10:50 pm

Kingsley was thankful that Jess showed sense and agreed to leave. Nodding, Kingsley followed him, looking at Grindelwald and Roland as he left. Several people had noticed his arrival, but Grindelwald had not. He had probably not heard of him, definitely not seen him before and probably did not care either way. And that all suited Kingsley well, for he was trying not to be noticed much, for now at least.

Glancing around the atrium, Kingsley cursed as he noticed a girl shouting and pushing her way through the crowd towards Grindelwald. Brave girl, but foolish, he thought as he almost turned back to help her. Someone else however intervened, a good thing, as Grindelwald's followers would have murdered her without caring even the slightest.

He followed Jess out of the atrium and towards a man he had noticed at Grimmauld Place. "Him?" Kingsley asked, a little confused, though he assumed Jess could only mean Robert Lupin.

Jack heard a voice in her ear just as she opened her mouth. She clamped her mouth and closed her eyes in frustration. Why. If they were not going to do anything immediately, why could they not let her do it? It was not as if she did not understand the consequences. Better a martyr than a pushover. If they did not want to do anything, that was fine. They should not ask her to do the same so they could feel better.

She turned around and faced Michael, trying hard to remain defiant, but the fact of the matter was that she owed Michael.. a lot. And she knew he would use that if it meant getting her to behave. She gritted her teeth and muttered, "Fine." She turned and said fake enthusiastically, "Since Grindelwald is number one and all," before holding up a one finger to display her emotion. She turned back. "Lead the way."

Revelation--Atrum - Page 5 Empty Re: Revelation--Atrum

Post by Gellert Grindelwald Mon Aug 22, 2011 6:21 am

A smile played on Gellert's lips as he watched the news of his ascension sink in with the people gathered, imprinting upon their minds in just the way he'd hoped for it to. Even as he was speaking the applause had started to ring through the atrium, echoing off the walls and magnifying itself till little else could be heard.

He noticed a small commotion and smirked as Jess Potter, supposed leader of the Order, and member of the Wizengamot, shouted something with a furious look on his face, before turning on his heel and walking out, followed by...

no, he was dead wasn't he. One of the ex-ministers for magic was walking through the atrium before his very eyes, fighting the throng of the crowd to leave the room with Potter.

This was a problem, he knew that Kingsley was a much respected member of society... but he knew that he was dead too, maybe he was wrong on all counts, one could only hope as much in the time being.

And slowly more voices were rising out of the applause, a few heated ones reaching Gellert's ears and causing him to frown, looking for its source and spotting a girl yelling angrily at him, oblivious of the threat his men posed to her.

Even as he thought this he saw movement to his side and grinned as he noticed Emof pointing his wand subtly at her, no doubt causing her abrupt departure from the room.

"Now," he shouted, his voice silencing the applause. "I must ask that you keep your ears to the ground, know that your Ministry will actually be your ministry from now on, we will be protecting your interests, and to do that we will need your help. If you have any information you feel will be of any help to us at all, please, do not hesitate to give it to us, any delay could be the difference between life and death for our world," he said, a look of concern and severity on his face.

"You must all leave now, go back to your homes, and prepare yourselves, keep your eyes open, and your ears keen, and we will prevail!" He shouted out, a massive grin on his face as the crowd roared.

"That went well," he muttered to James after tapping his throat. "Now, I'm off to my office," he said, walking away from the podium, in the direction of his new office.

Revelation--Atrum - Page 5 Empty Re: Revelation--Atrum

Post by Brian Quinn Tue Aug 23, 2011 2:01 am

Brian looked at Jess. Robert's instructions were clear. It was to be very limited right now. But Shacklebolt was one that he knew that the Lupins trusted even when they didn't always agree. "Alright," Brian agreed. "He's expecting you." He drew an oversized skeleton key out of his pocket. "Let's portkey out of here, and the sooner the better it looks like. Michael wont' be joining us. He has another assignment." He offered each of his companions an end of the portkey to grab onto while Brian clutched at the middle of it.

He knew Robert wanted to read them in on what had happened, and what Robert had planned to gain control back. It wasn't going to be easy or quick, but it might be effective. He expected Robert would take tremendous criticism for anything he did, and everything he didn't do. It bothered Brian immensely, and it made him want to protect him. Robert didn't seem to want that sort of protecting right now, so Brian resisted but was ever ready to step in. After all, Brian didn't have much of his own family left. And Brian's top concern was that there were allies to help get Grindlewald out of power--without Brian losing his family, if at all possible.

Post by Malowney Catt Thu Aug 25, 2011 4:54 pm

Malowney knew all was well, but she was still eager to find out about why Robert Lupin was fired. She knew that information like that wouldn't be mentioned in the announcement but she was still eager. Her eyes lit up as others entered and she kept her eyes fixed on the front of the room, hoping the new Minister would be fit for the job - Mal didn't have a career in the Ministry but it perked up her life to make sure she'd corrected any corrections to be made and had a standard professional life. She was of an average person and she wanted to show that she wasn't an....idiot, like a few names she could mention. Mal wanted to be a nice living person. She liked her home and everything...but her love life sucked.
