Khaat saw Ash's ill tempered mood. That was not good for her or the baby. The pain had been remove, which was most generally the source of a woman's poor mood. Khaat went to the cabinet and poured her a does of a honey colored potion. It tasted like honey too, only not quite so sweet. Khaat had never had anyone not like it, and typically, they liked it and the good feeling it gave them so well they wanted more of it. The problem usually only came with trying to tell women in labor they were feeling chipper enough. Khaat had seen some women giggle through labor and delivery if they had enough of it. And for some wizarding women, once they were relaxed, the birth happened much quicker and easier. And when the delivery was quicker and with less stress, the babies were less stressed and healthier. Some women were able to go home in as soon as 12 hours after the birth if they had enough help at home so they could rest. Khaat wasn't going to try to sell Ash on it. She was only going to offer it to her.
"Try this, Ash. It will make things go easier for you and the baby," she said quietly, handing the little glass of potion to her. "It won't be much longer. I promise."
