Emof's reaction had been a dangerous one, Gellert had to acknowledge that, and if he continued to blunder through this meeting in the angry disposition he was currently in, he would soon lose any of the considerable leverage he currently held within the ranks of the Death Eaters. No, calming down was certainly going to have to be his first move.
Then an idea began to form in his head. A brilliant Idea, one that he knew instantly would work, and one that he knew he was going to have to be careful with.
The elation he felt as he formulated this plan was enough to calm him down to a more logical, far more rational level, one that he should definitely be on before planning out anything with Thaorson and any large number of Death Eaters in one room.
"Well, Mr. Elldir, it's not that I don't trust you, but your lack of warning in your grand plan to infiltrate the Ministry gives me the grounds to keep that to myself, at least until you have obtained this job for us," he said, a slightly challenging tone underlying his words.
"For it seems to me, and this is just my opinion, but maybe telling us, the people in this room, that you were going to attack us all, would have made your plan seem a lot more beneficial to all of us," he said with a smirk.
