Sevvy Time!

When Cecilia caught up to Sevvy she didn’t say anything at first though she smiled at him. “Where are we going Sev-Sev?” she asked taking the books he carried out of his hands. She put the books in her bag then pushed her bangs out of her face, her hair was falling out of the elastic she used to put it up. She had seen the look on his face before. The look of doubt and regret the smile. Cecil’s eyes grew dark the light leaving them. “Do you want to go to the lake? I think we should go to the lake.” she said trying to hide the disappointment. She wasn’t really disappointed in Sevastian as mush as she was in her self. Though she thought that he would be over all of the things they had done in the past. “I’m going to the lake if you want your books back your going to have to come with me.” she said and walked off holding back tears.

Experimentation was best done with someone you trust was it not? Well, the Krums trusted each other explicitly which was why there was a need for the ‘rules’. Sevastian’s interest in Cecilia had always been fleeting. He knew his place and he was not about to be the paramour of the heir’s sister; it simply wasn’t done. Of course, Krum Family Politics didn’t always extend to those just within the family. If people strayed outside then the same rules applied yet usually they were forced to cough up money for silence. Sevastian was betrothed. He had his allegiance. Just because he’d kissed Cecilia once or twice didn’t mean a thing. He belonged to his betrothed whether he liked it or not; and as it was he didn’t. He was in love with the idea of being in love yet he knew it was a foolish thing to wish. He knew his place and he knew his betrothed’s place. Her job was to produce children – his children, however daunting the task was to the pair of them.

As such, stolen kisses had meant very little to Sevastian. He’d taken a risk at a time where alcohol was more widely available than oxygen. Thankfully, bedding her had not entered his mind and so that potential problem had been averted. There was to be no inbreeding in the family – that was another reason for the rules. The past Heads of the Family had seen what inbreeding had done to the Blacks and they’d certainly seen the effects it had had on the Malfoy family. The Krum gene pool wasn’t about to be diluted like that. They scoured for Pureblood’s across the globe which was the one reason for their diversity in race. It was why there were drug lords in Brazil baring the name ‘Krum’. It was why there were people living in New Zealand related to Viktor Krum I. They were everywhere. Somehow they’d managed to spread and any inbreeding that had occurred had conveniently died out.

Cecilia wasn’t anything to Sevastian. She couldn’t be even if he wanted it. It simply wasn’t allowed. They weren’t allowed. Not to mention Elijah would have a fit if he ever got wind of it.

“Give me my books Cecilia,” Sevastian said, impatience leaking into his tone. “I need to study. We’ve got our N.E.W.T’s to prepare for. Give them back!” Sevastian snatched at her but missed the books by miles. “Cecilia! Give them to me!”

"I’ll give them to you at the lake," Cecilia said over her shoulder as she walked away. Once down at the lake she close to the water. Taking the bag off her shoulder she set it down next to her and took Sevastian’s books out setting them on the ground in front of her. She the top one to a random page and began to read as she waited for Sevvy. As she looked at the book she played with the ends of her hair and hummed quietly. She looked back the way she came. She wasn’t going to give up and take him his books. If he wanted them back he’d be studying here by the lake.

Sevastian didn’t have the patience to deal with silliness. He’d offered for Cecilia to go with him, hoping that she’d be sensible and stealing his books did not count as being sensible. So, Sevastian took after her, determined to catch up with her before she got out of reach. Thankfully though, she took her seat, giving Sevastian a chance to storm in. He swooped down, stealing his books back, and immediately opened up the draw-string bag full of runes. He shook it up, pushing his face as close to it as humanly possible, and began to count what he could see. He’d hate to have lost some – in fact, he would have gone barking mad. Sevastian pulled the bag together again and hugged his books to his chest, a sad look shadowing his face.

“Why would you do that?” He asked, hurt. “Just...I didn’t ask for that. I am perfectly capable of holding my own books. Seemingly the only peace I am going to get is in the library. Good day!” He exclaimed before stomping off towards the castle, his white-blonde hair flying out behind him.

“Sevvy,” Cecilia called after him closing the book in her hands, “You forgot one.” Cecilia watched him for a minute making a funny face then she got up quickly grabbed her bag and fallow him. She didn’t run to catch up with him but she knew where he was going so she didn’t really have to. Either way when they got to the library she was going to apologize she didn’t want to upset him like that. As she walked she though of how she would word it. While doing so she seemed to make a million different funny faces. Normally she wouldn’t but she just felt like doing it. She got a little bored of fallowing him form a distance so she ran a little to catch up to him. She stopped running when she was about a foot behind him and smiled to her self as she shadowed him quietly.
