Jake was as usual, trying to hide from his friends. They had been laying off him a little more than usual for a while, but now they were back to being on him all the time. What had he done wrong this time? Was what he was thinking. Most times they followed him the way they were today, they had something to blame him for. What was it this time?
He was hiding behind a chair in the common room, when they passed by and he was hoping they didn't see him. He ducked lower behind the chair when they were in front of the chair. He heard them say that he might be at the lake again, and he heard them leave. He looked over the chair and sighed, relieved to see they were actually gone.
He got up from the floor and sat in the chair. He ran his hand through his hair and sghed again. Why were they so clingy? What has he done to get friends like that? He shook his head, wishing things could go back to the way they were before, then they were little. But they would be graduating soon and then he would be able to get away from them.
Maybe.
