Peace

It wasn't often that Ryo left the school, and when he did it was usually only to go either to Hogsmeade for something or when it was summer, he left to go to his uncle's house. Today though he didn't want to be in Hogwarts, Hogsmeade or his uncle's house. It was probably because there was something in all three of those places that he didn't want to see. He hadn't noticed it until recently, but Ryo had enemies. And lots of them.

He wasn't sure why though. Maybe it was because they didn't like his being a Vampire, or they just didn't like personality, or him all together. He didn't know, and he really didn't care. But he also didn't want to have to deal with someone trying to kill him wherever he went. But that was only in Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, at his uncle's house he just didn't want to deal with his sister's constant fussing over nothing. She was just really annoying ... to everyone. But Ryo was the only one smart enough to leave whenever she went off on something.

Today, it seemed the only place that was quiet enough to be was the Leaky Cauldron. That was a new one ... since when was that place ever quiet? He walked in and sat at a booth near the back of the pub. A waitress asked him if he wanted anything to eat or drink and he ordered only a lemonade, not that he would really drink it. But it was better to have something there in case he actually chose to drink it. As she walked away, he sat there staring out into the street as people walked by, smiling and giggling. The waitress came back with the drink and set it down in front of him. Thanking her quickly, Ryo paid what he owed for it and he moved the straw around the glass, looking back outside.

Ellie felt blessed today. Her favorite bookstore had given her a bunch of discounted books for being a frequent customer and Judd and Foster would be meeting up with her in a few hours. It was hard to believe how fortunate she felt. The little things always managed to make Ellie realize that she was close to one of the luckiest girls around. If she could, she would go pick some flowers and hand them out to everyone. However, she knew that that was, obviously, the stupidest idea she had ever thought up.

No. She would have to wait for an opportunity to arise to share her blessing and good fortune with the world around her. For now, she much more pressing matters to solve. She had a huge stack of books weighing her down and her stomach was beginning to remind her that she had not eaten since this morning, it rumbled and grumbled irritably. She succumbed and stopped, pausing to turn her head and decide her route. Deciding that the Leaky Cauldron would be the best place, she adjusted her dress and sunglasses, before heading down the street.

She stumbled into the Leaky, pushing her sunglasses into her red curls and flopped towards the bar, dropping her books with a clatter. The bartender looked up and she smiled. "Could I get a grilled cheese and some ice tea?" He nodded and she smiled, turning to look around. She needed to put her books down real quick to use the restroom. She spotted a boy in the back that she recognized as a student. She picked up her books and hurried over, resting the books on the tabletop. "Hi. Could you watch these for me whlile I use the restroom? Oh, and the bartender should be calling up my order, could you have him bring it over here? I've had my things stolen so many times." She smiled, hoping she had found one of the few polite people ay Hogwarts.

The people outside seemed to be so happy, except for one little girl who was crying because her parents wouldn't buy her some toy or something that she wanted. Kind of reminded him of his sister, she acted pretty much the same way when she didn't get what she wanted ... Although that didn't happen often, someone usually always gave her what she wanted st some poinylt or another so, there was really no point in her doing that sort of thing. Ryo sighed softly and shook his head a bit.

His head jerked to the side, looking back into the pub as he heard someone talk to him. He blinked a couple of times before he nodded at the question that had been asked. He looked down at the books that had suddenly been placed on the table and he sighed softly. So much for getting away from everyone. But he didn't really seem to mind this girl, she seemed nice enough. And she probably wouldn't try to kill him for no reason whatsoever.

When she asked if he could have the bartender bring her order over to the table, he hesitated for a moment but then nodded again. "Sure." He answered her with a small smile forming on his lips. He couldn't just say no to her, that wouldn't be polite and he wasn't the type of person to be rude ... most of the time.

Ellie gave the boy a warm smile. “Thank you so much!” She turned and hurried off to the back to find the restroom. Inside she went about her business quickly, while in the main bar area, the waiter was looking around for her. He spotted her books being watched by a boy, who he assumed was a friend, and took over her order. “Here’s the grilled cheese and tea,” the waiter grunted, sliding it onto the table before walking off.

Meanwhile, Ellie was washing her hands. A girl next to her was freaking out because she had a pimple and was about to meet up with her boyfriend. “Here,” Ellie said, pulling out one of the beauty products from Weasleys Wizard’s Wheezes. The girl used it and the pimple vanished, sending the girl into hysterics as she thanked Ellie. A little bemused by the excessive attention, Ellie waived off her compliments and hurried out.

After a quick scan of the area, she relocated the table where the boy was and hurried over, sitting down as she forgot that he barely knew her. “Thanks again. Girls are crazier in bathrooms, I swear.” She chuckled and said, “What’s your name?”
