“Where are we going to find him in this shit, Andres? Do you have Eli sensors on you? That little prat would be better off at Durmstrang! That’s where everyone else went but he was too special so he had to go to fuc-WHOA!”
Andres whirled around to see Harry wielding his wand. The two watched as Carles rolled down the embankment into a pit of spiders. Andres could barely keep the grin off of his face as Harry tucked his wand back into his robes – as if he hadn’t just sent one of their cousins tumbling into a spidery-doom. Still, he was no great loss – the brat – so the two men pressed on along the embankment in search of the Slytherin that they’d had a visual on before he’d disappeared. Obviously Viktor had more connections with the school and the Ministry than he cared to admit and so Andres and Harry were placed on ‘Eli-duty’. However, there was another pressing issue; Cecilia was missing. Valantin and Alexi had already (apparently) been ‘round the castle but they hadn’t found her. That meant, much to Andres’ chagrin, that she was somewhere out in the haze of battle.
“Can you see her?” Andres asked, rising up onto his tip-toes as he scanned the crowd of wizards and witches. “Or him for that matter. Christ alive...could you imagine how much shit we’d be in if we went back empty handed? Regardless of what Irina’s got cooking, H, we’d still be a bullock worse off by the time Viktor was through with us and besides-”
“Found him!”
Harry shot off the embankment, leaving Andres in the dust. Harry weaved through the bodies on the way to the one that was standing stationary, staring into space. Andres watched from above, still scanning the area for any sign of Cecilia; though, there was none. Harry dived for Elijah, tackling the boy to the floor – managing to successfully shake him out of whatever trance he’d put himself in. Elijah groaned and looked up at Harry with bleary eyes. Harry shook his shoulders and slapped his cheek gently, encouraging his eyes to focus. When they did, they widened and Elijah rolled them over. Harry looked at Elijah just as a fist came down on his face. He yelped and grabbed Elijah’s robes, forcing Elijah back over so he was straddling his waist.
“ENOUGH!” He shouted at him, causing Elijah to still immediately. “Just stop! Where’s Cecilia? She was here. She’s not in the castle Val checked. Where is she?”
“I don’t bloody well know! How am I supposed to know where she is? I didn’t even know she was here!” Elijah protested.
Harry shook his head and dragged Elijah to his feet. The two then ran back through the throng of people and Harry Apparated out with Elijah once they were on the safety of the embankment. It wasn’t a moment after when Carles came back up the side, mumbling something about roots attacking him. Valantin had returned to Andres’ side by this point and he looked at Carles pointedly before running down the side in search of these roots. He whipped his wand out and pointed it at the patch of uneven turf. A root shot out and Valantin instinctively cast ‘Incendio’ he watched as the root burned, revealing a cavern of sorts underneath.
“Andres,” Valantin dropped himself down into the hole and lit the end of his wand. His eyes fell on Cecilia and they widened. “ANDRES! Get down here!” The boys did not waste time. This wasn’t a Krum battle – those were tactical – this was just a waste of time. In a few minutes, they removed Cecilia from the roots and Valantin took her into his arms before the three Apparated out, leaving Carles on the embankment where he would sit for the rest of the evening.
