When the Professor spoke to him, seemingly amazed by the rare occurrence that was Elijah's attendance, Elijah made a face. He pouted gently and began to tap his pencil against his sketchbook, which he had gotten out of his bag beforehand, unsure as to what to say back. The Slytherin bit his lip when the Professor then went on to speak about Nachash. Elijah couldn't help but glare.

The snake that had wound herself around his torso that morning seemed just as unimpressed. He heard her hiss and made a point to ignore her. He had his Professor to contend with first. He didn't need Nachash lashing out on top of it. The comment was unnecessary but Wilson didn't seem to think so.

Releasing his lip, Elijah spoke to the Professor.

"She's quite fine," his voice was rather wooden but remained firm. "She actually had children so she's being kept rather busy."

Again, Nachash hissed but Elijah felt Adi begin to crawl down his leg. For some reason she liked the back of his knee and would sleep there of all places. She and her siblings drove him crazy, finding new places below his skin to sleep in. But Adi, she liked his leg. She stopped, thankfully, on the underside of his foot. She had no desire to terrorise anyone today. She had been quite sedate.

With things said, Elijah turned his head back to his sketchbook.

Post by James William Wilson Wed Apr 06, 2011 10:30 pm

''I always said the school was turning into a zoo'', Wilson said, standing up. ''Also, Krum... I may be blind, but I am not deaf. Keep that critter of yours calm and quiet or I will have to make it disappear... for good, this time'', he said bluntly.

He examined the class. He knew most of them, but he did not know their names. Some of them should be pleasant enough, but he was ready for the other group. ''Interesting enough, you are here. And that is... amazing. I do now know if you know the title of today's lesson, but I presume you will be able to deduce what it is from this little demonstration'', he said.

Wilson took his wand from his pocket and placed it on his table. He then flicked his arm at each of the students. Krum's sketchbook started to fly, making circles above his head. Trowa's chair, the one he had been sitting on, started to tap dance. Greyback's books started to hiss at him, while Armstrong's glasses jumped from his face and started running around his desk. Grey's wand started acting like a conducting baton, producing music that was Mozart's Symphony no. 40. Zante's quill started writing in mid-air... something on Hebrew. The hair of Angelique Pyrites went wild and started doing silly acrobatic acts, while Manson's chair started to levitate. ''Now, as you all face what my hands have done... could anyone tell me what this is an example of?'', he asked.

Jack was running late, which should have been a sign of things returning to normal. When she was on time, that was when she worried. But the reasons for her being frazzled were very not normal for her, though they were probably the sort of problems students dealt with everyday.

She had managed to avoid most people since Keith's article had come out, but now she was going to be forced to see Ariel. She wanted to hunt him down and confront him in private. She was afraid he would do something rash in public. So she had not minded to check her watch and see she needed to sprint to get to class.

She slipped in in the middle of the demonstration and, in the chaos, was able to take a seat in the back. When he asked the question, she opened her mouth for a witty retort, but she caught sight of a blonde head and decided not to attract any attention to herself.

The hissing caught Ariel's ears immediately. Everyone in Slytherin knew it. Of course they would. Their little King had his snakes and therefore they had to cater to them. If that big fat thing came into the common room then let it sit. If the little midgets wanted your bed than let them. This didn't really happen but in Ariel's mind, they were mere leaps away from that. He didn't want anything to do with Elijah or his menagerie. They were better off floating around in the stratosphere like Wilson was threatening.

Ariel dropped his eyes to the book he'd picked up moments ago. He licked his index finger and turned the page. He listened to the professor for a while longer before letting himself get absorbed in the book. But then, there was another bout of hissing. Ariel's eyes drifted off of his book and looked at the pile on his desk that seemed to have grown text-covered paper tongues.

Looking around, Ariel saw that Trowa had been thrown to the floor by his dancing chair, Elijah was fighting with the book floating above his head, Rafael was trying to get his glasses back and a number of other things were going on around them. Ariel, annoyed with the hissing, closed his book and promptly whacked the book-snakes with the one in his hands.

They quietened and Ariel opened his book again, satisfied with their silence.

The silence though, quickly became insufferable. Ariel looked up and his eyes fell on Jack who had taken a seat at the back. He swallowed and averted his eyes to the Professor. Ariel cleared his throat and decided to answer, for the benefit of everyone else.

"That was wandless magic, sir." He answered.

Wandless magic was one of the most interesting things in magical history. Ever. She looked around, smiling how people were firstly surprised, then annoyed or trying to get their things back. But she liked it. Sitting on a leviating chair was something that doesn't happen every day. And with Mozart playing in the background, it was almost perfect.
But then she looked back at Wilson. She wanted to reply to him, but someone was first. She looked at Ariel, and then back at the professor. “That's a little unfair, isn't it, professor?“ she asked with a wider smile. Though Mis couldn't use wandless magic yet, she could make things leviate with her own mind. “I mean that all Our things are in the air now...“ and with these words, Wilson's glasses flew into her hand that she reached out. She examined his spectacles and then she put them on, blinking her eyes few times. “Oh dear god.“

All Elijah had wanted was to draw. He would have gotten up and taken part when the time called for it but Wilson, along with every other Professor in school, was determined to make his life a misery. And so, the sketch book flew out from under his arms and began to dance and twirl above his head, sending sheets of paper everywhere.

Elijah blanched and took his wand out of his pocket. He called the sheets back to him with a flick and stood up, making to pluck the book out of the air. It evaded him though, making the Slytherin growl in frustration. Elijah held up his wand and pointed it at the book. He growled,

"Finite!"

and watched the book fall back down onto the desk, dead. Satisfied, Elijah sat back down again, placing his wand on the table. He had no desire to continue drawing now, not after that.

Lesson 7 - N.E.W.T. Level - Page 2 Empty Re: Lesson 7 - N.E.W.T. Level

Post by Orla Hughes Sun Apr 10, 2011 11:21 am

Great excitement, erupted into the classroom as the Professor moved his hands. Trowa was one of the ones that had to put up with the result of such a subtle movement. As the chair began to dance, Trowa was thrown off, onto the floor. He yelped as his knee collided with the side of the desk and clamped his eyes shut as a spark of pain ran through it. It was nothing he couldn't handle, however. That didn't mean it hurt any less, though.

Trowa shuffled along in an attempt to get to his feet and only succeeded in hitting his head on the desk. After swearing loudly, Trowa crawled out from underneath the desk and got to his feet, rubbing his head as he did so.

He stared at the dancing chair and watched as it tapped across the other side of the room. Trowa shook his head and took another chair. He sat himself down on that one and pulled up his trouser leg in search of some kind of damage. Thankfully, there was none. It just looked at bit red. Still, that didn't mean it hurt any less.

Jake knew he was running late for class, very late. He had woken up late that morning and had gotten ready quickly. He ran out of the Gryffindor common room almost falling down the stairs as he ran to the class. He like DADA and he didn't like being late for a class.

He slipped quickly and quietly into the class, unsure if Professor Wilson had seen him. He wanted to be there for this lesson, wandless magic, is something he always wanted to do and he was already late for the the class. He sat down quickly, trying to catch his breath and trying not to draw attention to himself. He looked at everyone in the room and saw that one of everyone's things were moving on their own.

''Quite correct'', said Wilson when Ariel replied. He then wanted to break off the charm, but his sight became blurry. Of course, he had realized what had happened even before Manson spoke, but he had to close his eyes in order to adapt. As he opened them once again, he whirled his hand and summoned back his glasses. He made a gesture with his hand, ceasing thereby all of his charms. He positioned the glasses and looked at all of them. ''Although I would usually be infuriated with this kind of action, I shall rewards Hufflepuff with 15 points for both courage and knowledge. Now, as we continue, you will be presented with your tasks, but firstly...'', he said and whirled his arm again.

The chair of Jake Collins, a student from his House that had been running late, started moving and then, after it had been about 3 meters in the air, turned upside down. ''And that is for those who think I am blind'', he said with a smile. ''Now, while your colleague wrestles his chair, you will have to do the following. From the pile you have next to my desk, you will have to assemble a wooden labyrinth... wandlessly and non-verbally, of course. Then, you will have to use your wand to transform one of your objects into a rat and one into a piece of cheese. You probably know what your rat has to do then. Yes, you will have to use your Transfiguration skills, but, while speaking to your professor, I deduced you will be able to do this. Now, commence!'', he said, taking a seat.

Lesson 7 - N.E.W.T. Level - Page 2 Empty Re: Lesson 7 - N.E.W.T. Level

Post by Rebecca Mulloy Wed Apr 20, 2011 1:19 am

Rebecca was running- actually, sprinting- for her class. She was quite obviously late, but Becca thought that it was better than not showing up at all. She never usually went to classes, and when she did, she was usually tardy. However today, she was excessively late. She didn't exactly enjoy DADA, as she was never much of a fan of the Dark Arts, but the teacher was quite interesting. He was also quite strict, above all, which was what made her so anxious to get to class. Becca entered the classroom quietly, a quite difficult task with her tall heels clicking with every step she took, and slipped into her seat. She gave Professor Wilson an apologetic look, not wanting to interrupt him, and whipped out her notebook, trying her best to catch herself up. From what she had heard and observed since she entered, they were learning about wandless magic. A subject that she was eager to know about all year. This was definitely a good class to attend, she decided.
