Roxanne scooped the last of her scrambled eggs with her fork, shoving them into her mouth in a rather ungraceful manner. Mealtime was one of those moments where she didn't even bother to act ladylike, it just wasn't going to happen. She had the appetite of a teenage boy and usually had two or three servings of whatever she could get her little hands on. Glancing down the table, she noticed a few of her house members who would also be heading to Potions. She thought about waiting for them, but a quick glance down at her watch alerted her that she should make her way down there now. Arriving to class at least ten minutes early was something that she always did, she was obsessive about it. Punctuality was a positive trait and she practiced what she preached. Grabbing her leather brown satchel filled with more books than necessary, she heaved it over her shoulder and made her way out of the Great Hall.
The walk down to the dungeons was thankfully short; she didn't have far to walk alone. She managed to accidentally bump into a few first years on her way to the classroom but those were casualties she didn't mind. She wasn't really one for younger children. She had a difficult time believing that she had ever been so obnoxious or tiny. They were like midgets...who talked way too frequently, laughed far too loudly, and seemed to, for some reason beyond her, find themselves to be hilarious.
As she walked into the classroom, she smiled in a flirtatious manner towards Doyle, as she involuntarily did whenever she was around someone of the male persuasion. She took her usual seat in the front of the class and began unpacking her things in the methodical manner which she normally did. Her parchment went on the right hand side with her textbook located two inches away from it to the left. Her jar of ink and quill went about an inch above her parchment and textbook, more towards the middle. She never really noticed that she did this, this same positioning day in and day out, it was like she was running on auto-pilot. After arranging her things, she laid her hands in her lap, glancing around and noticing that she was one of two students in the room. That wasn't much of a surprise for her, it was normally that way.
