Brienne sighed and picked the sheet up from the common room. The sign up sheet for Ravenclaw Quidditch was woeful; there were just enough people to make up the team, but no subs in case someone on the team was sick. Ravenclaw Quidditch was doomed from the start now. Even the Captain wasn't here. Brienne was the Sub Captain, and she was responsible for the team now. She took matter into her own hands, when she usually didn't. She usually was just one to show up and do her best. This time, though, she ran the risk of being yelled at by her superior. That was something that she was totally unprepared for. She hoped that the other girl would be proud instead, proud that someone from her team would do this before she'd get to it which seemed like forever. It seemed like she'd be taking her sweet time to do anything around here.
She looked around the pitch, wondering if anyone would show up. After all, it did seem as if the team was a bit light, a bit light for anything really. Even for people to show up. She'd been expecting nobody for a while now. It wouldn't surprise her if no one showed. She did, however, send a notice to all the people that signed up. Hopefully, they'd show, or she'd have to call it quits on forming the team. Certainly there was no one else doing a damn thing, why should she wait for Prophet if the sign-up deadline had approached and passed? She had no reason to. At least there was a full list of people for first-line positions. She counted her blessings there.
(Someone had to start this, and clearly no one else is going to sign up)
