It wasn't long before Rebecca had really began to notice the Malfoy blood which ran through Godric's veins. The ways in which Malfoy's acted were always very charming, mainly to hoodwink people into liking them. Not that they were bad people, but they were never the most trustworthy, and Godric seemed to be 'trying too hard' or so to speak. It was difficult for Becca to believe that he was being true to her, or if he was being completely honest about himself. She was being as honest as she could to the boy, because she could see herself in the future with him; he was her type. Actually, the person he was being at the moment was her type; and she hoped that was the "real" Godric.
Becca took a sip of the wine the waiter had left for them, and savoured the moment. It was very sweet and fruity- her favourite, though she would have preferred champagne, but the event was not a celebration, and therefore did not call for it. Taking another sip, she thought of the classes she had been taking for her final year at the academy, "The usual: DADA, Charms, Transfiguration, Herbology, Muggle Studies, and Dark Arts. I enjoy most of them, apart from Dark Arts." Becca would not go on about the subject, she did not know much about Godric, meaning, if he was a supporter of the Dark Arts, she did not want to offend him with her beliefs. If he wanted the subject to carry on, he would ask . She also did not want to talk about herself too much; she didn't want to sound conceited.
"But," Becca continued, "enough about myself, I do hate droning on about my inglorious life. Why don't you tell me about yourself? I'm sure your life is more interesting than mine." She added truthfully with a beautiful smile. Becca never found her daily routines to be the least bit entertaining, never mind interesting. She usually spent a lot of her time getting herself ready for her relentless day; appearance meant a great deal to Rebecca, she always had to look her best, in case she came across a man like this. For this, she was extremely thankful for her vanity full of makeup. Afterward, Becca would tend to her household chores, in which she always thought belonged to her mother, but her parents were never really present. After that, she would just let the cards play out and see what else would happen. She would often travel to Malfoy Manor to see Suz, or hang around the Black Raven Bookshop.
As unusual as it would seem, Rebecca would often classify herself as a bookworm of sorts. She loved to read and write, which made her the oddball of the family. She was also very smart, a characteristic which was very unusual for such a preppy girl. As she had mentioned, she enjoyed her studies a great deal, and was always caught up in her work. However, sometimes she would pretend she hated school, as if she were a rebel, only because that was the manner in which her best friends acted, and she didn't want her brains to get in the way of her friendship. Becca found herself fading in and out of her own thoughts and was brought back to Earth. She took another sip of her wine as she waited for an answer from Godric.
