Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"Fourth." Abbey replied to Brienne's question. Suddenly, she submerged herself into the icy lake. Abbey just watched as she came back up with an old broom in her hands. It had a damp piece of paper attached to it, with quickly scrawled writing on it. Abbey watched as Brienne read it over. "Mind if I take a look?" she asked. Abbey bent over and peered at the hastily drawn note.

When she was finally finished reading it, Abbey sucked in a breath. It was definitely not a friendly note, that much was certain. Whoever had wrote it was most likely angry or hurt. "I wonder who could've wrote something like that?" Abbey asked. She looked over the broom, which looked to be an out-of-date model, seeing that it didn't have any of the qualities a regular broom today would have. It was also slightly mildewy and was decaying from sitting at the bottom of the lake for what must of been a few years.

"I bet it was someone that my cousin Dominic, a 5th year, had dated. That broom has been down there only recently, but the fact that this was in the Great Lake made it difficult to tell how long exactly. All I know is that my cousin is in trouble," Brienne laughed, "Serves him right for being a womanizer". Her cousin Dominic was a womanizer, he would flirt with someone and call them his girlfriend one moment, then he'd turn around and flirt with another.

"Dominic's had it in for me since day one, so I'm actually glad this happened to him. It serves him right. How he ever managed to want to try to be like Eli Krum puzzles me, because he can't do it right and he ends up looking like a jerk".

Abbey was surprised that the Brienne had just happened to find a broom that belonged to someone she was related to. "That's so wierd, but cool, how you found this!" she said in shock. "It's actually a pretty nice broom." Abbey said, running her hand over it. She immediatly blushed. "Sorry, I love Quidditch, so I'm kind of a broom freak." she said apolegetically.

She listened as Brienne described her cousin. "So does he still go here?" Abbey asked curiously. "If he does maybe we ought to show it to him?" It was just her opinion, but personally if her broom had been thrown in the bottom of the Great Lake and then been recovered, she'd want to know; especially since brooms cost so much money.

"Don't worry, I'm into Quidditch myself. I'm a Sub-Captain and Seeker for Ravenclaw", Brienne said, "But, yeah, it is pretty nice, too nice for Dom". She frowned at the idea of letting him know that his broom was here. "I'd rather not return it to him, besides, he's got a new one. He and I are on very bad terms with each other, ever since day one. He still goes here, yes, but I still do not want to return this to him. It's too good for him".

Brienne thought for a minute, if she repainted this broom yellow or something, it'd make a good starting broom for Luna. "I know of someone who needs it more than he does. My little sister, she's in Hufflepuff and is a first year trying to make it onto the team".

Abbey smiled when Brienne said she was into Quidditch too. Now at least, she would know that she could talk Quidditch tactics around her, even though she wasn't even sure if she was making it back on the team since last year Mari had been the captain and now it was someone different.

So far she liked Brienne, so maybe they could hang out a little bit longer. "Would you like help retouching the broom?" she asked nonchalantly. "I'm in Hufflepuff too, so if you want, in exchange for helping with the broom I could maybe give your sister some pointers on making it on the team?" It seemed like a good idea to Abbey, so hopefully Brienne would think so too.

Brienne was happy that this girl, Abbey, was so kind. Offering to help with the broom and with her sister's Quidditch skills. "Sure! I'd love help! My little sis would love to meet you, she's so friendly to people". She then realized that her sister looked nothing like her, and Abbey may need a little bit of help finding her if that was the case.

"My sister doesn't look much like me, I don't think she looks anything like me. She has dark skin, brown hair, and two different colored eyes. Her right eye is blue while her left is brown. Her name is Luna-Lorrie Hastenfield. She's also very short, and has a little bit of a belly on her".

Abbey nodded, taking in all the information Brienne was telling her. "Got it. I'll try to find her as soon as possible and introduce myself." she said with a smile. It felt good to help someone for a change instead of worrying about herself, not that Abbey was self-absorbed. It was just that now that she was back at Hogwarts she didn't have her little sister to look after like she usually would over summer break.

"So, do you want to get started on the broom now?" Abbey asked. It didn't seem like too hard of a project to get started, but she wanted to be able to get a head start on it.

"Oh, she's gonna love you. You're so helpful, and she likes that in a person", Brienne said, smiling. Luna was a good person herself and liked others like her. There weren't that many, though, so it wasn't odd for Luna to be alone. She always found fault in others easily, and could judge them based on an action that may have just been an accident. It was a trait that threatened her.

"Sure, let's get started on the broom!" Brienne said, "Where can we find the supplies though? I'm not sure if there's twig straighteners and paint just anywhere in Hogwarts. Spells may also not be that good for it, either".
