What did you do?

Elijah was chuckling mentally. He didn't know why the Gryffindor was rushing to defend himself. It wasn't going to help the matter. Elijah knew at the end of it all he'd win the argument. The child had no idea who he was dealing with. The fact that Elijah could give him Detention for the rest of the year was unimportant but he doubted that the student knew that he was arguing with Elijah Nathaniel Krum. Elijah didn't often through his surname around like that but he wasn't above doing so.

"I'm sure she does," Elijah drawled lazily. There was nothing wrong with Nachash, unlike that flee-bitten thing. "But at least she's intelligent." He said with a yawn.

When the Gryffindor spoke again, Elijah arched an eyebrow. "You're pathetic." He said bluntly. "You wouldn't say that to someone with that name." Elijah smirked and levelled his gaze at the boy. "Not that it is any of your business but my name is Elijah. Elijah Krum, actually."

"Krum? As in...like...Viktor?" Ezra was starstruck for a moment thinking about it. He was arguing with a relative of Viktor Krum. Then he straightened up, "So what if my Cheeto is dumb? At least he has CHARM unlike your snake, which is scaly and just...lies there.."

Cheeto laid silently in the grass.

"Well, my name is a cooler, it's Ezra, Ezra Laurisi. Elijah's actually a cool name, I have to admit, but doesn't have as much charm as the name Ezra."

Elijah arched an eyebrow at the boy and a smirk tugged at the Slytherin's lips. "Uh-huh..." He said slyly. "My father." He paused here and his eyes narrowed at the Gryffindor. "Nachash does not talk to those who bite here, fool." He hissed, his Bulgarian accent thickening by the second.

"Your name is Ezra?" He scoffed. "It sounds like a girl's name." Elijah was deadly serious too. He didn't know who this Gryffindor thought he was because insulting someone's name and expecting said person not to rebuff that was idiotic.

"At least my name's meaning isn't repetitive and doesn't say that a muggle deity is my god" Ezra retorted. Ezra meant "helper", though biblical it still didn't have the muggle deity mentioned in it. Ezra was fascinated by names of all sorts. He decided to play the name dropping game himself, however he didn't have famous relatives so he made something up.

"I'm a distant relative of Harry Potter!" A total lie, but worth a shot. Maybe that'd make the older Slytherin back down a little, he thought, Harry Potter trumps Viktor Krumbum any day.
