Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"Why couldn't you transfigure a mountain into a lab rat?" Cassie spoke up. "I mean, we can vanish things, right? Couldn't you just vanish all the leftover bits?"

She was very proud of this solution. There was no limit to the things magic could do, so far as Cassie was concerned. Only a limit to the human imagination, and with her, sometimes not even that.

She wasn't going to comment on the first law of matter, whatever that was. It sounded like muggle nonsense, and Cassie didn't need to bother herself with muggles and their problems. She was a witch and if she wanted to turn a mountain into a lab rat she would. Not that she would want to in the immediate future. Rats were icky.

"Well A mountain is to big to transfigure. If you first blow it to pieces some how then you might be able to transfigure the pieces." She said hoping to explain it enough. "I mean if you could transfigure anything then some evil person could transfigure a planet into a rat or something like that." She said also. She hoped she got this right so that she knew if she explained everything.

Cassie turned and gave Aurora a withering look. Clearly, she didn't even understand the question, but that didn't stop her determination to share her ignorance with everyone.

"I wasn't asking you, dumbarse," she told the girl. "I think we've already established that your lack of neurological function makes you incapable of doing anything. Isn't that why you've been begging the teachers for special treatment all week?"

Scathing retort successfully delivered, she turned around and waited for someone who knew what they were talking about - that is, the professor - to give her an answer that actually addressed her ideas instead of simply dismissing them outright.

Lesson 1 - Basic Level - Page 3 Empty Re: Lesson 1 - Basic Level

''MISS CRIUS!'', McCoy ejaculated in an angered voice. ''That is no way, especially in my classroom, of speaking to any of your peers! Twenty points from Slytherin, a two-week detention and homework for you! Next time you even utter something similar to this you'll be kicked to your Dungeons without the blink of an eye!'', he said, angered.

He needed a moment to calm down, hence the small break he took. ''Now, as to the question. Theoretically, you could transform even a large mountain and a planet into a lab rat, but the level of energy and ability of such a wizard is would have to be so immense that even the slightest idea about the existence of a wizard is pure imagination. Theoretically, the borders are almost non-existent, but practically... they are there and nothing you think or say can change that. What Mister Grigori was referring to are Gamp's Laws, and the mentioned First Law of Matter. Basically, you cannot create Something out of Nothing, even Muggle philosophy confirms that thesis. Now, does anybody know anything about the law? What do they relate to?'', he asked.

Aurora felt anger run through her veins. She started to struggle alot with trying to control her anger. She didnt want to do anything especially after being thrown from one class and treated like a pitty seeker in another and getting a detention in another. She couldnt stand all of this but she tried to as much as possible. It was the hardest thing ever to do something like this.
