Minister Matthew Lestrange has stepped down from his function leaving his position now open for new candidates. His resignation was too sudden, but the ministry, effective as always, called for emergent election seeing that this supreme British institution became leaderless from one day to another.
However, candidates are too numerous and the winzengamot is trying to speed the election process as quick as possible considering there’s a new threat for the magical community out there (more in next pages).
How we find out from our sources, most popular among the long list of candidates are Khaat Lupin, head of St. Mungo’s and Wizengamot and her father Robert Lupin, newly elected Head Auror in the department for magical law enforcement. Rumors are that in case one of the mentioned two people become the new minister their other ministry positions will be left empty.
This leads us to our next ministry related news. Gabrielle Delacour, who resigned and disappeared few months ago is now teaching at Hogwarts. There’s grand possibility she will be filling one of empty positions that could result empty during the elections in the ministry. The Quibber reminds its faithful readers that Mrs. Delacour is resigned Head Auror though more then competent for any ministry functions.
There’s no source in the ministry that can confirm or deny this so the big question remains how much will these new elections affect the popularity of the ministry? We also remind our readers that last elections took place last December where Matthew Lestrange was elected as the minister after the end of the battle at the Ministry. The Quibber will keep you updated for any other changes.
