Auror Enlistment

Aurors are members of a faction that is a division of the Department for Magical Law Enforcement. These brave men and women protect the wizarding community not only from Death Eaters, but from all people that break the law. Enforcing the law may seem like an easy job, but in reality it's more complicated then one can possibly imagine.

Enforcing the law is their primary goal. These wizard policemen consist of men and women who are ready not only to fight, but to learn diplomatic skills too. They are considered as a politically neutral faction because they only defend or attack to defend. The Ministry of Magic is under their direct protection. Their job is also to track down all vampires and werewolves whose curses are not under control, making them a danger to the public.

To become an auror one needs to pass through aspecial amount of training that is rigorous, but worth the sacrifice. This department been in existence ever since the forming of the ministry itself. Some of the most famous aurors throughout our wizarding history were Alastor Moody, Nimphadora Tonks, Kingsley Shacklebolt, and last, but not least Harry Potter himself.

Mari, I have deleted aurors who have not been active and who also did not respond to the activity check that i sent out at the update. If anyone wants to rejoin, they are, of course, welcome to reapply. Also there is not a thread yet in the ministry for aurors. I will send out a group pm to them when i create one.

UPDATE: 11/7/10--The aurors have been updated. These are the ones who have responded to the Mandatory Auror Training in the Ministry. Anyone who has not responded by today's date to that thread will need to reapply if they want to be an auror.
