Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Scaring off the Wee Firsties Empty Scaring off the Wee Firsties

Jack walked into Diagon Alley, alone, twelve years old and still thrown off guard by the amazing magical world around her. Besides a few adventures, she had been stuck at home all summer and was glad to be back in the thick of the magical world she had come to know and love.

In a week or so, she would be starting her second year at Hogwarts, as a proud Gryffindor. She patted her pocket where she had stowed away the muggle money her Uncle Chip had so graciously given her. Without it, there was no way she would have been able to afford anything. She hurried off to Gringotts.

After exchanging her muggle money for gold Galleons, silver Sickles, and small bronze Knuts, she made her way back int the throng of people, her head reaching people's elbows at best. The twelve year old was no taller than four foot six, bu her flaming read hair and radiant grin drew attention to her. Not only that, but the fact that she was alone was odd enough. She did not need any help.

Her cousin Elliot had said he might meet up with her later, but that was neither here nor there. She was perfectly fine wandering alone. She spotted Flourish and Blotts and she made for a beeline for it, pulling out her crumpled school list as she slipped inside to track down the books she might need.

((Nick, just BTW, could you try and use more periods and commas? It's hard to read your posts usually.))

(Please try to use more punctuation. That was very difficult to read.)

Jack felt someone fly into her and the books that she had just received went flying out f her hands. She deftly grabbed them, looking as though she were plucking them from the air as she did. She had been practicing Beating, even as young as she was, at her uncle's house, and her hand-eye coordination was through the roof.

She turned to snarl at the person and saw it was a first year. He was quick to thrust his hand out and introduce himself. Jack felt the prankster in her rise and she gave him a look of mild shock. "A first year?" She glanced around and lowered her voice. "But then you aren't supposed to talk to me. That's forbidden!" She kept a serious expression, knowing she would fool the young boy with ease.
