But people are more likely to take an attractive person over an uglier one, because that control could be sexual as well.

No, Brienne, the control of a stalker or a rapist has nothing to do with sexuality or desire. It's about ownership, to put it very simply. They think they own you.

The control might take the form of rape, but that's because rape is a way of emphasising that the rapist is the one with all the control and that the victim doesn't have control over anything, even their own body.

Straight men rape other men, and it doesn't make them less straight, because it's about control, not sex.

I don't want to scare you with all this, but I also don't want any of the members of this site to become the victims of some online predator.

But anyway, I thought the rape was not JUST about power.

Well, it's hard to explain if you've got no background to work from. Basically, rape isn't just the act of rape, it's the culture you're brought up in where it's okay to get a girl drunk and have sex with her even though she didn't explicitly say yes and that sort of thing.
