I t's been twenty-five years since the dark lord was defeated. Two and a half
decades that have passed in relative peace. It is now the year 2021, and a new
enemy is threatening to turn the wizarding world on it's ear once again.
Or, should we say, new enemies?

A fter the second war was over, Voldemort defeated, his followers dead or
locked up in Azkaban -- there were a few that went into hiding. They went under-
ground, forming a sort of secret alliance, awaiting until their numbers had
recouped all that they had lost. Now, so many years after Voldemort's
downfall, they're back. Oh, not as overtly as the dark lord made himself.
They are slowly, quietly infiltrating the wizarding world -- starting with the
magical epicenter of Britain: London.
No one expected Hermione Weasley to lose in the race for Minister of
Magic. But she did. Marcus Fairbanks, a quiet sort of man and one of
the undersecretaries under Shacklebolt, was chosen for Minister instead.
It was doubted that Fairbanks could handle the position, but coming
into his second year as Minister, the people are starting to turn around.
As he slowly gains the trust of the general masses, there are those who
wonder...how did he do it? How did he beat Hermione Weasley nee Granger
who was once a third of the golden trio? It seemed improbable unless
he had help...
Apollo and Artemis Lafayette are the leaders of the Uprising. Not twins,
despite their names, these siblings are the masterminds behind the current
plan to bring about the downfall of the British wizarding community, then the
world at large. Apollo is the elder -- a werewolf with a vendetta, he is the strategist
for the Uprising but it's Artemis you have to watch out for. She is the cunning
one, half veela, and extremely dangerous. She is also the mistress of one
Marcus Fairbanks. Coincidence? Of course not. He is but a pawn in their plan.
One they're keeping close to the chest and away from any traitorous ears...
As for the unsuspecting witches and wizards of Britain...well, life is going on.
The Potters, the Weasleys, the Longbottoms, and even the Malfoy boy
still attend Hogwarts. Teddy Lupin has become an auror like his parents.
Harry Potter himself is the head of the Auror department with his
best friend Ron at his side, of course. Hermione actually is the author of
several text books that are currently in use at Hogwarts and is working on
her 'revised' history of the school. Ginny works in the Accidental Magic
Reversal office, despite having her auror's certification. George still runs
Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and has recently opened up a branch in
Hogsmeade -- certainly not to keep an eye on his children. Arthur retired
from the ministry shortly after the war and he and Molly still live at the
Burrow. Even Percy married and has children of his own. He is currently the
head undersecretary to the Minister. Neville teaches Herbology at Hogwarts
and, in keeping with tradition, is the head of hufflepuff house. Life
certainly does go on but with strange occurrences, a few disappearances, and
a new defense against the dark arts professor...how long will the peace last?
