Chase felt tears prick her eyes as Sophia hugged her. What had she done to deserve a friend like Sophia? She was used to going over to her house, but this time felt different. Glancing around the long sloping grounds, she bit her lip. "I have a car.. but I doubt I can drive.. I'll come back in a day or two to pick up anything I forgot.." She said slowly. Then blinking back tears, she put Dragon into Sophia's backseat, along with her duffel bag, and she pulled a piece of parchment out of her bag, along with a quill. Writing furiously on a piece of parchment, she glanced around and then sighed, pulling out her wand, she summoned some tape from inside. She opened the door slightly for it to come through, and then taped up the piece of parchment.
Wiping her eyes, she tucked her wand away back inside the waistline of her sweatpants and then glanced back at Sophia again. "I'll miss this place." She whispered, her voice choked with tears. "I really will." She took one more look at it and turned around, her jaw set, her eyes wide, but no longer crying. The rain pounded hard against the roof of the car as she got into the passenger seat. Glancing around the comfortable interior she ran her hand over her eyes and rubbed her temples. The grief and shock of what had just happened threatened to roll over her, so she punched on the radio and let the sound wash over her. Letting her head roll back she waited for Sophia to get into the car.
