Order of the Phoenix Emergency Talks. All post, OOC

Hey guys.
I'm holding this because we, as a faction, aren't working. Now, whether this is my fault (Most likely), the site's fault, your faults or some other thing's fault, we're not active, and we're dropping in activity by the day.

First thing i want to do is do a cull of the list, so everyone needs to post here, and i'll add you to the list of keeping people.

So, basically i want to know from you what we should do. The site is leaning more on getting the DEs up, and that's fine, i want to scale us back, the order is not meant to be a leading faction.

Second thing i want to do after we do a cull, is to have some minor thing, small battle style thing, just to let the world we're active, and hopefully get some new members. I want to lower the joining age to 15, and start a seperate younger section of the order for 15 and 16 year olds, which would opperate out of hogwarts, in conjunction with the PA.

That's a short term plan to bring us back up to scratch, however i want suggestions, improvements, and just general discussion here.

So, finally, the cull list.
I'm doing it differently this time. I have a list of everyone in the group and as you reply i'll take your name off the list. If your name is on the list this time next week, i'm taking you out of the group. I'll be checking the comings and goings, so that if someone's already said they're taking a week off they'll not be deleted. Ok? If you see someone's name on the list, i'd encourage you to tell them to post.

Please add in Khaat, Robert and Katherine. I've also just asked that Brian Quinn be added. As for my ideas for the order. i think, first of all, we need to be able to have at least one stinking meeting without an arguement. I think it gets us nowhere and the meetings always end before anything productive comes of it. My belief is that the argueing needs to be strictly prohibited. If 2 characters have differences, then they need to go to a thread in the house and resolve it--but not in the meetings.

2nd--i do believe the order needs to become/remain separate from the ministry. we need to be sure we're all on the same page with the Order's purpose. In its heyday, it was to wipe out Voldemort. Now we don't seem to have that issue, so we need to be sure what we really are dedicated to doing, besides just hating the death eaters. Are we dedicated to thwarting their attempts to take power, or what, exactly? Once our purpose is clearly defined, then that gives us plot direction. Especially if we get a new site plot that will, most likely, want the direction of the site to go darker still. We need to know who we are and what we stand for so that as things become more intense, we still know our objectives and can still be effective.

Ok, glad you're all replying here that you're staying in the order, but if you could comment on the info i posted i'd appreciate it.

ok matt and I agree some sort of battle would be good , the age thing and seperate group might bring something for those who want to help the order but are to young to be come a full member , i know all groups have a lower incative section so it would kinda oriantate them into the larger active group.
