Skin: White (Not pale but not tan either)
General Appearance: E Y E S and H A I R
Calvin’s has had bad eyesight for as long as he can remember, and because of this, has to wear glasses or contact lenses at all times (other than showering and sleeping, of course). His glasses are black rimmed and are rather large and bulky looking, but he finds them to be the most comfortable out of every pair he has ever owned.
His hair is a very dark brown that he likes to keep long. Calvin usually (always) forgets to groom his hair and therefore is ends up looking like he just rolled out of bed. His bangs are usually swept back or to the side but are long enough to hang in his eyes (which is rather bothersome) if he doesn’t take the time to brush it back every now-and-then. He refuses to trim his hair unless it is to the point when it is absolutely necessary because he simply does not have the time (and because he likes the way it looks when it is longer).

Layers. Whether it be hoodies, long-sleeved shirts, vests, jackets- anything, no matter what, Calvin always layers his clothing. The only time he doesn’t pile on one shirt after another is when the temperature is too hot for him to do so, and it is then that he chooses to lay about the house or finish up any research he has left to do.
Calvin likes to wear jewelry, but only to a small extent, such as a single band around his wrist from some vacation that he went on centuries ago, or perhaps a piece of thread dangling from his neck with his favorite band’s name scratched on a dog tag.
Sneakers, converse, or flip-flops are the only shoes Calvin likes to wear; he doesn’t like boots and refuses to wear them because he thinks they are extremely uncomfortable and that shoes are meant to protect your feat, not meant to be a fashion statement.
P E R S O N A L I T YSkills: - Muggle Studies (he is obsessed with everything muggle related)
- Working with Muggle Technology (such as video games and computers)
- Memorizing Facts (everything from numbers to names)
- Fallowing Orders (he has trouble doing things on his own and always looks for someone to guide him or take charge)
- Reading (large science or math related books are his favorites)
- Amusing Others (even in the most serious of situations he manages to make people laugh)
- Getting Hurt (especially falling and tripping)
- Strategizing (even if he doesn't put his plans in action, he is brilliant at thinking them up)
- Science (anything involving the human body and brain)
- Running (he is a rather light and scrawny man, and because of this he can run pretty darn fast if needed to)
Weaknesses: - Bravery (he tends to run away from danger) ((he will be forced to be brave eventually))
- Talking to Women (it is rare that he says anything to a girl that doesn't make him looks like a fool)
- Constantly Looks for Approval (he can only feel good about his work if someone approves of it) ((this is something that he will never get over))
- Keeping Quite (he has trouble shutting up when he is needed to be quiet)
- Lying (Calvin has never been good at lying believably, and fails miserably when he attempts to) ((he will have plenty of opportunities to try and improve))
- His Collections (if anything were to happen to his huge collections of muggle artifacts, he would probably break down completely) ((which will eventually happen))
- Analyzing (Calvin can never ‘turn his brain off’. He analyzes everything everyone says and often moves his lips to the words speak without noticing it)
- Sticking up for others (he can love some people to death, but he can never manage to defend them when they need him to) ((which is something that he will improve on later))
Likes:- Music
- Hospitals
- Studying the Law
- SyFy Movies
- Having the house to himself (he has a roommate)
Fears: (I have changed this to fears. Hope you don’t mind, it worked better for me that way)-Danger (of any shape form or size)
-Failing (at anything, it doesn’t matter what to him)
-Rejection
-Limitations (that is, when it comes to knowledge and things of that sort)
-Heights
Motto: "Knowledge is the antidote to fear."
General Personality:Calvin, the fearful yet intelligent wizard, has always looked for approval whenever he accomplishes anything. He thinks that in order for his accomplishment to mean anything, someone has to approve of it, and it is because of this belief, that he is so afraid of failure and mistakes. Calvin hardly takes and chances when it comes to accomplishment, and likes to fallow orders rather than take charge.
When It comes to conversations with anyone, Calvin is usually only interested in science, muggles, syfy movies, or law-related information, and it is because of this that Calvin has never been in any sort of relationship that has lasted longer than a weak.
H I S T O R YFamily Information: - Jack Ransom Jr., Father, Banker
- Marietta Ransom, Mother, Professor
- Ella Ransom, Grandmother, Retired
- Jack Ransom, Grandfather, Deceased
- Esmeralda Mansini, Older Sister, Auror
Childhood: During his childhood years, Calvin was best friends with his sister, Esmeralda. They would tease each other and get on each other’s nerves, but they always managed to forgive each other and continue on as if it hadn’t happened. Calvin’s mother and father always told him that he was born for Esmeralda, to support her and to be her closes friend. When Esmeralda was five, she was diagnosed with cancer. At this point, Calvin was only months away from being born, and he seemed like the only bit of hope the family had left. The day he was born, on that same day, the doctors called the family with unbelievably good news; Esmeralda was going to be fine. Calvin’s father wasn’t the type of man to believe in fate or miracles, but even he thought, from that day forward, that Calvin had been Esmeralda’s savior.
At and early age, Calvin was fascinated by muggles. Even though he came from a Pureblood family, they allowed him to buy toys that normal, Muggle children would play with, and he would spend most of his time studying them. He loved the way they used science and intelligence to support themselves rather than magic- he liked being a wizard because he knew that he could do a lot of things muggles couldn’t do with that power, but he thought that the muggles were just too fascinating to ignore, thus starting his obsession of Muggle artifacts and trinkets.
Hogwarts:Calvin was happy when he was sorted into Ravenclaw, to him it was a symbol of intelligence, and he was very proud to be in that house, but there were some things about being a Ravenclaw that he would’ve much rather have done without. The “fakes” for example, were the students who had been sorted into Ravenclaw without having any of the qualities that that house was known for. For example, there were plenty of Ravenclaw students that belonged in Slytherin, and it were these people who constantly hexed Calvin, and mocked him because of his interest in learning.
It took a few years, but Calvin eventually managed to make friends with a couple of students in the same year as he was.
Adulthood: When Calvin graduated from Hogwarts, he wanted more than anything to become a healer, and so, he started his courses/training. However, it wasn’t long before he realized how much bravery and leadership it takes to dedicate one’s life to healing, and he began to worry that he wasn’t ‘good enough’ for the job. After completing half of the training, he left and decided that it was not the job for him. Because of his completion of half of the Healer training, he has the knowledge needed to help anyone if an accident occurred- the only problem with that was, he knew he would never be able to step up like that.
During Calvin’s search for a career that would suit him, he ran into a bit of trouble. Because of his lack of income, he did not have the money to pay rent for his apartment, and was evicted, putting a mark of his permanent record that he didn’t like one bit. Calvin soon found out that one of his close friends was having the same troubles, and the two of them decided to join together and share an apartment, so that they could split the price and they could actually manage. Though Calvin loved his friend, he grew tired of the situation easily, and enjoyed it whenever he got the place to himself.
One day, Calvin’s roommate (and friend) suggested that Calvin check out a job at the Ministry, stating that he thought Calvin would be good at some sort of Muggle-related job there, and that it would make paying the rent a hell of a lot easier. Calvin took this advice and got the job, but much to his dismay, he also found himself involved in quite a bit of Auror-related business that he had a part to play in.
