What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

“Why do you want them anyway? As much as I’d like one I think I have a few variations kicking around in my flat.” She probably did but how many no one knew. Weapons from all over the globe covered every surface and it probably explained why she didn’t actually sleep a lot. Well, firstly there was no room and secondly she just didn’t like sleeping. “I had a cursed hat once. My grandmother bought one for me for Christmas. I have no idea why. She’s bloody senile that woman.” Jen listened nodding, where appropriate as she began to rifle through some of the cabinets in search of stuff she hadn’t previously seen in the shop. This was probably a form of looting but she’d have to find somewhere to stick all of her stuff. The Dent fortune was sat in Gringotts waiting to be spent but Jen couldn’t touch it for fear of being fed to the dragons by the bloody dwarfed goblin things.

She closed the cabinet and stood up. Jen span around and feigned innocence. “I don’t know where you get your ideas from Minister. I would never take things from my friend’s shop.” Jen matched his grin and shook her head. “Used to be? What happened?” she asked, walking around to the glass case. She bent down and picked up the dagger she had, had her eye on. She ran her finger across the blade, taking off a layer of dust. She read the runic writing and stood up with a smile on her face. “This is the one.” She said flipping it a few times to check how it faired in the air. It wouldn’t be a throwing knife but it would do the job. “Want to try a liquid Cruciatus?” she joked, remembering the vials she’d bought.

Matt grinned at her, she had turned around with an innocent look. "You shouldn't lie to your boss's boss!" he said walking forward shaking his finger joking. "Especially if that man is a Vampire!" he added winking at her. He turned around to look at an old bookshelf, "Oh nothing in particular!" he answered her question as he reached up for a book. "Just realized my dreams led me elsewhere!" he said opening the book. He opened the book to a very gruesome picture of a goblin. "I never fancied Borgin's reading material! Hell I'm surprised he's still alive!" he said putting the book back. "You found it?!?" he said wheeling around! He looked at it, "Be careful with that!" he said warningly. "That's Ministry of Magic property says me!" he said grinning. "Along with all the other stuff in your pockets!"

Jen frowned a little and smiled sweetly. “Aww... but you’re not that scary, Matty.” She smirked and tapped her chin thoughtfully before turning back down to the cabinet again. “Yeah, Borgin is real creative. He loves the horror. Makes for an interesting read when you’re bored.” She picked up a few amulets and one particular one caught her eye. It was familiar to her. Jen reached in for it and pulled it out by the gold chain. She stood up again as Matt turned back around and she raised an eyebrow. “The Ministry wouldn’t know what to do with it.” Jen frowned. “Plus, it’s finders keepers. If you want the thing so badly then take it.” She knew he couldn’t. She was being cruel. Jen flipped the blade once more and let it lodge up in one of the rafters. She looked up and cursed her blood. Rob was tall. Why was she short? “Do you still want it?” she asked.

Jen pocketed the necklace and took her now fairly heavy coat off. She was wearing simple clothes for once. Nothing elaborate. She still had heels on her boots and her signature leather trousers were clinging to her curvaceous legs but she didn’t have anything particularly revealing on as a top. Just a plan white t-shirt and her look was finished, whatever look it was. Jen stood in front of Matt and pointed to the dagger lodged in the rafter. She smiled teasingly and dropped her arm down to her side. “Come on, lift me up. I can get it.”

Matt made a mock face as though he was hurt. "Not scary? That really hurts Jen," he said in a mock hurt tone. "I've read over half of this book case when I was younger." he added. "All those years as a bad guy can really help when you become minister and know how their brains work." he said tapping his head. Matt smiled at her, indeed it was finders keepers. "Alright, I'll let you keep them. And I'll pretend like I won't see you leaving the shop with them." he added turning his back to look at a silver glove. She was a cruel one, but she was a half decent Auror. She was one of the best, he knew cause he had stopped in on training one day. He liked to just drop by and see how the Aurors were doing. Of course, they'd never be the Order to him. The Order seemed for comforting than Aurors, mainly cause they had been the ones to take him in after he left the Death Eaters.

Matt turned around when he heard the knife hit the rafters. He looked up at it and rolled his eyes, that was so Jen. "Well, I don't want it. But I need it, Ministry business is a pain in the ass!" he said loudly. If that didn't get Borgin down he he was either really asleep or dead. He smiled and then his mouth dropped when she took off the coat. She was saying something but Matt really couldn't hear. She wasn't wearing anything to special, but it was still a good piece of eye candy. "Uh, I don't know if I can..." he said her up and down. "I mean, of course I can, but I dunno if I can..." he said not really making sense. He shook his head and dropped the book in his hand on the counter.

Jen smiled and laughed lightly. “I’m sure you’ll get over it. Really you’re like the BFG except you’re not a fictional character or a giant and I don’t think you eat snozzcumber’s. Odd book.” She shook her head and wondered how more bizarre her childhood could get. It was long gone but revelations like that made it appear to be fairly strange. Although, without the incredibly odd way of growing up she wouldn’t be as...whatever she was today. “Why didn’t you just go to Muggle university take criminal psychology?” she asked. “Much more fun than standing waiting hours on end for a customer and letting dust settle on you. That was one of my biggest problems with this place. Far too much dust.” She turned over a tarot card and frowned at the black dog looking up at her. “You better.” She smiled, turning back to him. “Or you’ll find that knife in your chest.” She didn’t mean it of course but it was always fun to tease. “We’ll go sixty-forty once it’s sold off to their potential owners, deal?”

Jen raised an eyebrow and looked up at the knife in the rafter. She was purely guessing but either Borgin was all tuckered out from taking advantage of having a galleon’s worth of a woman over night or he was dead. The latter seemed more likely but you never know. Rob got married so why couldn’t Borgin get a girl? Probably for the same reason Burke couldn’t. “You’re the Minister though, you could have someone else do it.” Jen frowned a little but shrugged. “It’s always good to do some of the harder stuff. Most of the time those in power get put in a protective bubble so iron clad that they’re cut off from reality. Eventually they just become vegetables filled with political garbage. It’s probably why I didn’t go into that profession. Getting down and dirty is much more fun.” She grinned and suppressed laugher, she definitely hadn’t intended on adding the innuendo.

She pressed her lips together in confusion and decided to play innocent. She looked up at him and smiled momentarily before slipping her heels off. “They hurt when they dig into your shoulder blades.” She explained. “Kind of difficult when you’re trying to get through a second story window or onto a roof.” She looked thoughtful for a few moments for her eyes flicked back up to Matt. She doubted she’d need to stand on his shoulders. He’d just need to lift her by the waist. “C’mon, it’s not that hard. You only have to lift me up and please hurry because this floor is cold.” She pointed to the wooden panels and pouted, a smile teasing her lips.

"I have no idea weather I should feel insulted or happy," he told her. Really, he had know Idea what that all meant. When he was a kid all they ever read was something to do with a mouse and a dog or something like that. Maybe there was a duck, and a pooh? Oh well, just idiotic muggle children's tales. He shouldn't be wasting precious brain space on such nonsense. "Well, I did spend a few years studying criminal behaviour!" he said smiling. "I kinda went underground for a bit during the summers," he added. "It's fun being able to tell what shampoo a criminal uses from the look of his footstep!" he said exaggerating a bit.

"Oh I don't think you'll need to stand on my shoulders. It's not that high," he said walking towards her. She was playing him, and he was falling for it. He was a guy, what else was he supposed to do? He pulled off the Death Eater Robes to reveal a plain black t-shirt that should a little bit of ab and his muscles were somewhat viewable, and a pair of jeans. Skinny ones. He grinned and grabbed her waste lifting her up with his one arm. "Alright, you take your time then. I've got all day," he smirked.

Jen raised an eyebrow at him. “You’ve never explored the realm of Muggle literature? They have such fascinating ways of interoperating magic. The morals are fabulous, though. They explore it quite a bit.” She knew that the Lestranges were a bit nutty here and there but she didn’t know if she could have just lived on ‘The Tales of the Beadle and the Bard’ for eleven years. The stories weren’t that good anyway, the morals were definitely present but they weren’t covered as deeply by the story. “Really?” she asked, deciding to play along. “So what they use the shampoo to wash their hair or to clean the doorstep? Or were the bottles lined up outside?” she smirked at him and shook her head. “That’s only a little creepy, Matt. Unless someone intends on killing someone in a bathroom or something equally strange then I don’t see how it’ll help.”

“Very true.” She said thoughtfully, once again looking up at the rafter where the knife was lodged quite happily. It was normally the best place to store them because they did tend to get in the way she found. They were probably the reason she didn’t open her kitchen cupboards for fear of a pointy metalslide. In one movement she found herself a lot closer to the knife and she looked down to see Matt grinning at her. She bit her lip and looked around. There was definitely a lot more dust the higher up you got. “That’s good then.” She laughed. “Because I’m quite happy here.”
