KINGSCROSS STATION

Steven stood on the plat form waiting for Andrew john was at his side egarly waiting for something to happen he had already been told he would attened hogwarts the next term so was excited to see the train he would take, he bounced one foot to the next steven looked down "john stand still i know your as ankshios as i am but please stand still " he saw the grin on his sons face "aww dad but i wanna see the train " he said in mock disapointment " and you will when it arrives , you won't miss it but rember why were here, to met Andrew your brother" john's grin grew "ow yeah and his frog" now he stood still , Steven chuckled and shook his head looking down the track

Andrew sat on the train as it pulled into the station. He had not brought his full trunk home but had only brought a few things in his backpack. Hiis older housemates had redirected his packing when they saw him packing like an 11 yr old. They made sure he actually had clothes in the bag instead of all his "treasures." He had brought the little stuffed frog in his backpack, and had also brought his frog in the plastic frog case. His older housemates rode with him on the train and promised to meet him at the station to make sure he got back to Hogwarts successfully. They escorted him off the train, and when he saw Steven with another young man about Andrew's age. "That's him," Andrew said, "My new guardian." "Okay. We'll see you next week," they said.

Andrew walked over to Steven. "Hi," He said, a bit nervous. He really had no idea what to expect with life with Steven. The only father he'd ever known had been a bastard. So far steven hadn't been that way, but living with him was another matter. And he was nervous.

Steven smiled as he saw andre step off the train "hey andrew , lookin good , this is john hes your brother , its along story I'll tell ya tonight at Roberts farm were invited for a cook out" he said . John looked at Andrew "hey cool you have a frog whats his name and can he jump?" he asked peering into the plastic box at he spotted frog. Steven chuckled knowing how hard it had been to catch him "come on I though ya might be hungry so we could grab abite to eat first then get ya settled in to ya new room" he smiled

Andrew handed John the frog case. "I don't know. Katherine said he said his name was Russell, but that's a dumb name for a frog. So I've just been calling him Frog. And, yeah. He can jump and he can race, both. And he knows how to be quiet when I carry him in my pocket and how to stay there and not jump out. " He looked at Steven. "Can we find either some good fish and chips? That's what I'm hungry for."

steven smiled "sure I know just the place and its not far from here " he said noticing how john looked at the frog."yeah why would a frog be named Russell "he stuck his tounge out "frog is so much cooler, hey frog " he said smiling "thats so cool, dose he go in your pocket a lot?" he asked as they walked. Steven smiled seeing the two boys getting along so well especial john "come on you two frog talk later " he said "ow andrew I hope you like your room" he said smiling. "ow it has fish on the wall and a boat bed..." steven chuckled "john leave something for him to discover" John chuckled "oops sorry but its so cool" he said

"Sounds good to me," Andrew said. "Do you have a frog, John?" He didn't know what this farm held for him, but he had met Robert and Katherine who were supposed to be Steven's neighbors, so if things turned out to be bad, like it had been before, he could duck over to Robert enormous farm next door and it would take them forever to find him. Andrew had grown up always having to have a back up plan simply because he was never sure how far he could trust someone. But his older housemates were acting like big brothers to him and he was learning that they were always straight with him. And he appreciated that. And he thought maybe he was sorta learning to trust them.

John shook his head "no but there is a pond close to the house with frog spawn in , I'm hoping one will be mine some day, will you show me how you got frog?" he asked "but we have a swiming hole with a tire swing, horses pigs and ranbow fluff balls too Khaat sent some over , their kind funny when they escape, once i found one asleep next to me", he chuckled.

"yeah the trouble i had finding them all, theres also a fishing river tat rins right threw the property , I saw some fish jumpin only yesterday" he smiled "maybe we could go fishin there some time al of us and the persn who catches the largest fish can chose what they want to eat that night" steven smiled rembering how he enjoyed fishing with his father back on his old farm.

Andrew frowned. Steven didn't know nothing about fishing. If someone caught a big fish or a mess of 'em, the best thing to do was to eat 'em fresh. Cook 'em up fresh. This guy really didn't get out much, after all. Andrew didn't say anything. He kept his thoughts to himself. He looked back at John," You ever had any really good fish and chips? The best stuff is served in the pubs, really. But your dad, he's sort of naieve about pubs. I'll have to take you some time myself. Pubs seem to make your dad nervous."

John listened to Andrew and shook his head "no dad just dosn't go in them much he has a freind how owns one, I don't go in them dad says i'll get into trouble if i did." Steven could not help over hear "Andrew they may serve food but its not a place for kids , now i know a place right around the corner that dose food just as good , he use to work in a pub and now runs his own restraunt and fish grill, he can cook fish any way you ask for it and its child freindly" he added stopping he turned to look at andrew "I know pubs are all you have known but they are for adults not a place for children to be , and adults should know better those who don't are braking the law, if you want and are more comfotable in one I know the owner of one close by he'll be ok with you and John " he stood up to face him waiting.

Andrew bristled slightly at Steven's words. He wasn't used to limits in his personal life. He knew that he had to live with them at Hogwarts more out of desperation than anything else. But he really wasn't sure he wanted them in his personal life. He was not so sure about this guardianship stuff. He needed to know more about these Walkers. Compared to what he had lived with, they seemed just a little weird. There were plenty of pubs that let kids in, and he was more used to that than anything else, except perhaps being on his own. What if they didn't really like him? Or vice versa? Could they make it work? He decided to just let things be for now. Wait and see. "Whatever," he shrugged casually.
