Advertising/Newbie Stuff - Privvy

Hey guys.
We're having a wee bit of trouble at the moment. Our main problem is that activity is falling, and the site has become rather slow

So, i'd like you to help with two matters.

First: We need advertising ideas
We're not really getting many new members, which is a major problem, because members are the lifeblood of a site. so, can all of you PLEASE submit some idea(s) on how we could advertise the site better.

Second: It's not really your job, however, whenever we get new members not many people really roleplay with the newbies, and this could be resulting in members.
So, if you see new people come to the site, perhaps you could help them get to their feet? Once again, you don't have to, however, if you would, that'd be much appreciated.

I have noticed that everything has started to slow. I think I'll put in a rp-rq for new players. Incourage them to rp and so on. Advertising is something else, though.

The links will just have to be everywhere. Fanfiction.net, Deviantart, Facebook/Bebo/Myspace pages -- Everywhere. P:

May I suggest we also have people advertising on sites with a lot of members? The more members there are the more likely someone is going to notice.

And I can post an advertisement on mine and Godric's site if ya'll would like. I mean its just starting but it might help with at least getting another member or two.

Yeah, that would be appreciated, i may start brooching into other sites and posting links, because everything's worth a try really.

We really need a new graphic one though

I'm not sure if you've seen it, but the old one was the banner, some background, an abbreviated plot, links everywhere, then a little 'we won't bite come join us' sort of thing
I think we need a new one of those when we get the new plot up and running

I'll do what Elijah did and post a rp request for newbies.

Also, does anyone go on any other sites that we can advertise on?

I would, but i really don't want to have to be one of those people who makes a topic just to post a 'join my site' thing. They annoy me as an admin, and i'm a 'do unto others as you'd have other do unto you', person.
