Lily had been wandering aimlessly when she had come across a room, which she had never seen or hadn't noticed before. Pausing, she glanced around to see if anyone was looking, before quickly slipping in, leaving only a small gap in the doorway so she could see if someone was coming. When she turned around her eyes widened slightly.
The only thing that was of notice in Lily's line of vision, was a large beautifuly carved mirror which sat near the back of the room. Intruiged, Lily walked forward cautiously and paused as her reflection stared back at her in interest. But she wasn't alone. Standing behind her was her mother, she was smiling so brightly Lily was nearly blinded by her pure beauty. It made her look so much younger and...peacful. Than She could see Andrian, James and Albus. All three were beaming cheekishly at the reflection, they were still taller than her in this mirror as well. Mari was there too. She was beaming at Lily's mother.
Than Lily noticed one more person in the mirror. He was reasonably tall and quite scrawny, with frizzed black hair and piercing green eyes which Albus had inherited. He had large round glasses and a lightingbolt scar that lined his otherwise flawless face. It was her father. Her heart leaped.
In shock, Lily gazed behind herself and was disappointed to see that she was alone in the room. As her gaze went back to the mirror she saw all the happy faces beaming back at her. Lily's eyes watered and before she could stop herself, tears begun to fall. It was stupid to think even for a moment that he could return from the dead. But it was the childish dream she clung onto even though it was the reason she cried when alone.
