General Appearance: Dora is of medium height and slim build with the right curves in the right places. She has naturally tan skin and bright olive green eyes. Her hair is long and slightly wavy, and she generally doesn't have bad hair days--though every once in a while she would just like to shave it all off and start over. She has a slightly prominent nose, but she prefers to call it unique--her grandmother had the same and she loves the connection. Overall, Dora is very soft looking, as though, were she to get into a fight, she wouldn't stand a chance--and that would probably be abour right were the fight physical.

General Personality: Dora is a Rosier through and through. She has the skill needed to switch between sweet and dangerous easily. If she likes you, she really likes you and you have a friend for life. If she takes a disliking to you…well, let’s just say, you had better hope she likes you. Dora doesn't have many close friends. In fact, if you were to ask her, she probably wouldn't be able to name a single person who knew all her secrets. She's a nice enough person if one takes the time to talk to her, but for many years Dora secluded herself with her books and her mind, wanting to do well in her studies and aiming for the highes accolades possible. Her mother--who had been just a few years younger than the "Golden Trio", often told her that her ambition might have even rivaled that of the famed Hermione Granger. This year, Dora's sixth, however, she plans to change everything. She still has her goals and aspirations, of course, but she wants a social life, she wants friends and she wants interaction with people.

Childhood: Dora grew up in a small home with her mother and her father. She did not know, when she was young, that magic existed or that the strange happenings that occured when she was rather happy or extremely moody were indeed signs of her magical inheritence. Her father, based on old wives tales he had heard as a boy, believed that the likelihood his daughter would be a squib was great because his wife was muggle. He knew that there were half-bloods who attended Hogwarts, but most of those he had known had had magical mothers--he honestly thought the gender of the magical parent had an influence on the offspring's magical ability. Dora was plesantly surprised to learn, when she was 10, that she was indeed a witch and would be attending a school for the magically gifted. But because of this lack of magical knowledge, Dora lived a life of typical muggle-ness for the first ten years of her life. The most influential experience of Dora's early life was the passing of her beloved grandfather, her mother's father. The two had been rather close and Dora took the loss exceptionally hard. He had believed that Dora could do great things and her quest to prove him right may have been one factor that lead her to become as ambitious and determined as she has been.
Hogwarts: When Dora was eleven she entered Hogwarts. Not two months later her parents owled her and told her that she would be having a younger sibling in the not too distant future--they had, of course, known that Plesance was pregant, but had wanted to spare Dora the conflicted feelings of wanting to stay and be with her family at such a time, and have her transition to Hogwarts with as little trouble as possible. In the middle of November, Dora recived another owl telling her that her little brother, Lorin, had been born. Because of Lorin's birth and Dora's want to be a very good big sister, Dora never stayed at Hogwarts for holidays and always returned home to visit her family. At Hogwarts the already shy Dora, not one for crowded spaces or loud speech, turned to books to comfort her in her homesickness. She made several aquantances through classes, but never once did she feel as though she had a best friend. She consoled herself with the idea that she was too busy trying to make her life as best it could be in the future to have friends. At the end of fifth year, she changed her mind. She still isn't sure what exactly caused this change of heart, but she knew she was missing something. She wanted to have fond memories of Hogwarts, just as her father did. She wanted friends she could invite home over holidays and people she could introduce to her parents. Her solitude had been too much and Dora decided that she would change it all come her sixth year.
Short Roleplay: Dora looked up with an ever ready smirk at the sound of a voice. Leaning against a tree was Severus and her smirk turned into a smile at the sight of him. Most would say he wasn't the best looking guy at Hogwarts, but there was something about the guy behind the long hair that kept her smiling at a single glance and giggling when they touched. She couldn't put her finger on it, but she planned on sticking around long enough to figure out what it was.
