Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

''Animal Transfiguration. Name the spells that we have done that, be careful, enable you to transform something into a live animal. And... Gamp's Laws. Do remember to do the practical part.'', McCoy said.

[color=grey]"Animal Transfiguration. Thus far we have learned Lapifors, Draconifors, and Avifors. Lapifors turns simple objects into rabbits. Draconifors turns those dragon statues into actual dragons. And Avifors turns objects into birds." James flicked his wand at the glass with the spell "Avifors," before whipping his notebook over the the transforming cup and whipping the wand at the book, stating "Incarcerous," as if he were answering yet another redundant question. The book formed a cage over the transformed cup, just as he had planned. The door to the cage was smaller than he had anticipated though... that would be a problem.

''Good Wake, a really good job. You will receive an O and 50 points for Ravenclaw. We have to wait and see how Miss Dawn does her practical part and Lincoln, here, who can begin when he is ready. His question is related to Gamp's Laws.'', McCoy said.

Abbey breathed in, ready to do the last part of her exam. She picked up the slender glass and set it on her desk in front of her. "Avifors." she mumbled. The glass grew and got slimmer until it finally had transformed into a small parakeet with glossy pastel yellow wings. It preened its feathers and nibbled on Abbey's finger as she tried to pet it. Abbey smiled, then realized she still had more to do.

Just as Abbey was going through her mind to remember what the next thing she needed to do was, the bird decided it was going to fly off and land on one of the numerous ceiling fans in the room. She scowled as the bird made a tiny clicking noise, almost as if it was mocking her. "I'll show you." she whispered to herself. She climbed onto a chair and quickly pulled out a quill from her pocket. "Incarcifors!" she said, pointing her wand at the feathered quill. The quill transformed into a net capable of catching the bird. Abbey swung the net at the ceiling fan, but the tricky parakeet hopped out of the way onto the next blade of the fan. Abbey furrowed her eyebrows but didn't tire. She flung the net towards the bird again, finally incasing it in the net. She picked it up gently and showed it to Professor McCoy. "Is that all I was supposed to do?" she asked, placing the small bird in the palm of her hand.

''Ah, a cute little bird. You can keep it if you want. And yes, that was what you were supposed to do. A brilliantly solved task, 50 points and a big O for you, Miss Dawn. I am satisfied with today's exam, although only two of you decided to come and face it. Class dismissed, see you next time.'', McCoy said.

Abbey thanked Professor McCoy for letting her keep the bird, and walked out of the transfiguration classroom. Just as Abbey started heading down the hallway, she saw an open window. She glanced over at the parakeet and decided it would probaly want to live out in the wild than the indoors. She placed the bird on the ledge of the window. He glanced back at her once more before flying away into the blue sky...
