Abbey breathed in, ready to do the last part of her exam. She picked up the slender glass and set it on her desk in front of her. "Avifors." she mumbled. The glass grew and got slimmer until it finally had transformed into a small parakeet with glossy pastel yellow wings. It preened its feathers and nibbled on Abbey's finger as she tried to pet it. Abbey smiled, then realized she still had more to do.
Just as Abbey was going through her mind to remember what the next thing she needed to do was, the bird decided it was going to fly off and land on one of the numerous ceiling fans in the room. She scowled as the bird made a tiny clicking noise, almost as if it was mocking her. "I'll show you." she whispered to herself. She climbed onto a chair and quickly pulled out a quill from her pocket. "Incarcifors!" she said, pointing her wand at the feathered quill. The quill transformed into a net capable of catching the bird. Abbey swung the net at the ceiling fan, but the tricky parakeet hopped out of the way onto the next blade of the fan. Abbey furrowed her eyebrows but didn't tire. She flung the net towards the bird again, finally incasing it in the net. She picked it up gently and showed it to Professor McCoy. "Is that all I was supposed to do?" she asked, placing the small bird in the palm of her hand.
