Jess cocked his head to one side and frowned, now he was unsure as to what McCoy was prattling on about. Must be going senile, he thought with an inward smile. "Extremely cruel and inadequate towards a girl in the school?" He asked, pondering over the statement. "I suppose you mean Mariana?" He said, a frown on his face. "How have i been cruel to her?" he asked. "She is a student, what do you want me to do, go to the school every other day to meet her?" he asked, an angry look on his face. "My behaviour at the ball?" He asked, his voice rising. "Sure, i met someone, but that's because WE AREN'T TOGETHER!" He shouted, no one else seemed to understand this point. "Maybe you haven't noticed, but she's moved on. She has a boyfriend now. What, did you expect me to remain hung up on her for the rest of my life? Jesus christ man, why don't you go date a student? if you were an ex staff member, would you?" He asked, knowing he'd struck a valid point. "And coldness?" he asked. "When i returned from my accident, the FIRST person i saw was her, and we discussed what would happen then. "Maybe," he said, "Just maybe, it was you James, being such a prat to her, treating her as an imbecile?" he suggested, deciding to move onto the other topic McCoy had raised.
"A power lust?" he asked, slumping back in his chair. "What sort of power lust are you referring to?" He asked, "I put down the tyranny of the Minister Dae Diggory, with the full support of the Order behind me. You weren't so advers to the idea at the time if i remember correctly," he added, "If it was a pwoer lust, then why didn't i make myself minister?" he asked. "Huh? Why wouldn't i? Instead i allowed the order to choose anyone but me, and they chose someone they believed to be fair.
"And on that note, how come you're not in any of the archives?" he asked. "Not to mention, that if you knew the first thing about the activities of the order since the battle for hogwarts, you'd know that it collapsed on itself, and was closed. Sure, you may have been around for the second time the order was revived, but after that it ended, and only in the last two years, while you were off trundling around the UK, that it's come back to power. The majority of the time under my leadership." He said coldly. "Who is suffering?" he asked, raiing an eyebrow at him. "I don't see any suffering, i know however that everyone seems to be suffering through you and James. I've had several calls from various Order members to kick the both of you out. But did i?" he asked, shaking his head.
He then laughed at the suggestion and shook his head. "What land do you live in?" he asked. "Why would i pass the reins onto James. Really, i would choose anyone but him after his little show at Hogwarts. Why would i put the order into the hands of someone i can't even trust?" He asked bitterly. "And nothing. Nothing, is more important to me now than this organisation. If i see an option that would hurt the order, i wouldn't possibly take it. And now, the option that you suggested... well i can see a hell of alot of hurt down that path," he said seriously.
"Mind your own business," he finished, "And get back to hogwarts, that's where your loyalties lie," he said with a heartless smile
