Charms Basic

Gibbs entered his classroom with a briefcase in his hand and a mug of coffee in the other. He placed his coffee on his desk and the briefcase in the area of the desk where peoples legs go. He walked up to the board, waved his hand and made what they were doing today appear on the board. He picked up his coffee and sat on his desk, waiting for his class to come in.

On the board:

Abbey walked into the classroom and saw that she needed to write down all the basic charms she knew. She blew out a breath and pulled out a sheet of parchment. Abbey realized she was running low, so she made a mental note to herself to buy more sometime soon. Abbey titled her paper and thought about everything she'd ever learned form Professor Potter. She wrote:


Abbey looked over her list, satisfied with what she had put down; those were the only charms she could think of at the moment, so she hoped the Professor would be pleased with her answers.

Once again, the dishevelled Slytherin that looked like he’d been dragged through a bush backwards, made his way to class. Eli walked inside the charms classroom with a wide grin on his face that his sister would probably call a ‘shit-eating-grin’ or an ‘I-just-got-laid-face’. Eli wasn’t sure which one she preferred but the latter was unlikely – he was pretty much celibate now and that bothered him more than he would have originally thought. However, the grin was not because of something that he could now only probably fantasise about but instead it was because of, well, nothing really. He was just happy – was that such a crime? Probably. He’d also hit payday and his allowance had come through, adding to the small fortune that was steadily growing.

"Good morning!" Eli said happily and a lot louder than the average, normal person.

Eli could have afforded to look a little smarter but he didn’t care, it was school for goodness sake. The Slytherin opened the door of the Charms classroom and closed it behind him. He moved to a desk in the middle of the class and pealed his outer robe off, deciding that it was far too hot for the robe to be on and he needed a place to lose it for the day. Charms class was a pretty good bet. Eli sat down and took his sketchbook out of his bag. He pulled a piece of parchment out of his pocket and smoothed it out. But the parchment was too crumpled and nigh on destroyed so Eli decided to use his sketchbook for paper.

He took a pen out of his bag and wrote down the title and then the subheading. He noted that fact that his pen was yellow and smiled to himself before putting the pen back to paper.

Spells I have learned... or tried to.

Eli bit his lip. What spells had he learned? Did he even go to class when Potter was teaching? Eli groaned and dropped his head onto the desk, not caring about the pain that came from his head connecting with the wood.

"Good morning Abbey!" He said. He picked up the class roster and checked her name off. Then he noticed Eli walk in with a very different look on his face. He shook his head at him, "Mr.Krum I think me and Abbey over here both know you have to reason to have that look on your face..." he said winking and checking his name off the list. "We'll give everyone else a few more minutes before I begin ranting.." he said sitting down on his chair.

Lily entered the classroom in a usual fit of clumsiness managing to knock her wand out of her pocket. Blushing, she picked it up conspicuiously and made her way to one of the many seats. She sat a row behind a Abby Dawn, a fellow third year and mock saluted the teacher before pulling out her needed supplys. She paused thoughtfully as she studied the board for a moment before beginning to write.


Lily paused trying to remember what else she had learned. It seemed trivial for her to remember these things. As long as she could wave a wand when needed not much else mattered to Lily. Flicking her quill absently across her face, Lily sneezed as it brushed a sensitive area. She blushed and glanced back down at her work.

Alex entered classroom, little smile on face, eyes looking around fast. She hadn't have any Charms class mit Gibbs yet. Okay, yes, sometimes she didn't go to Potter's Charm either, but that didn't count at all.
Alex sat a row behind a red-head, Lily Potter, fellow third year and Potter's Army member. She took from bag a sheet of parchment and a pencil - seriously, another good thing that muggles have made - and, after some thinking, she started writing.

Spells I have learned:

2. Expecto Patronum
3. Reparo
4. Protego
5. Levicorpus
6. Alohomora
7. Bombarda

Yea, she learned Levicorpus from her brother, but that was already on paper, so... Alex didn't notice that she started chewing knees, thinking of which another spells she had learn.

Keith slumped into charms, dumping his bag by his seat and sitting down. He studied the board for a moment, and shrugged. List the spells he's learned. Well, at least it wasn't going to be that much work. He sighed, rifling through his perpetually messy bag before coming up with a quill and parchment.

3. Expelee Expelia Expelliarmass The one that makes wands fly out of peoples hands.

Keith sighed inwardly, putting his head down on his desk.

Done.

Yay.

"Good Morning Lily, Alex, Keith" he said nodding to them. "Well I think we might as well begin!" he said clapping his hands and getting off his desk, but not before checking their names off his list. "Alright let's see, who can tell me what the curse Expelliarmus does?" he asked pacing in front of them his wand out and he waved it sending a jet of green light at the vase of flowers on his desk and as it blasted away into little pieces he repaired it with a wave of his wand.

"Expelliarmus curse makes the wand fly," Alex said before she could stop herself. "Fly out of people's hands. that makes you opponent unarmed. Also, good aimed spell probably can move other objects, too." For example, once she almost blew up Desmond's owl, when it was bringing her a letter from home. She knew that spell, but she had creepy problems with that, that's why she didn't put it in the "Learned" list. But Alex didn't mention all this. She had already said too much for her usual.
