Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"Well, yes, actually. I have a feeling that Rob will be an amazing father. That's going to help. He is completely devoted to Abbey before she's even here. She certainly needs to be raised wizard, but I want her to be equally as comfortable with the muggle world because it is so vastly different. And because it seems like the two worlds are always enmeshing in some form or another.

"I would like her to learn to be a confident, free woman who knows that she is loved and that she is free to be whatever she wants to be. But my guess is that I'm going to be the one setting limits because I seriously doubt that Rob will be able to deny her anything. All she'll have to do is batt her little eyes at him, and it will be all over. Game, set, and match. And its odd, but the two of them already have a telepathic link. He knows instantly when she's in the least little bit of distress usually before I do. Well, he did. I had it temporarily blocked. But once she's born, I don't know if I'll be able to control even the first ounce of that."

She watched as the server brought their soups and a basket of fresh baked bread with freshly made creamery butter and two different jams. "Thank you," Khaat said quietly to the server, who nodded and left.

Charlotte Whitlock was definitely the mother of Jenifer Dent. There was no doubt about that. She commanded the Whitlock manor with a rod of iron and did the same everywhere she went. So as she stormed down the cobbled street that was Diagon Alley, people ducked out of the way; not wanted to be caught in her maelstrom. She was a woman scorned and out for vengeance, she didn’t care who she wreaked it on either. She’d only just found out that her son had gotten married. Her son and she wasn’t even invited to the shindig. She was furious with him and wanted to destroy everything he’d built for himself. That was the nature of the Whitlock women. It was jealousy and vengeance.

She threw open the doors of the Bistro he supposedly worked at and her eyes zeroed in on two women seated at a table. Immediately she began to laugh. It was a shrill, mocking laugh that could even chill a Death Eater to the bones. She probably rivalled Bellatrix Lestrange on the insanity meter and boy did she know it. She sneered at Narcissa and her high soprano bounced across the walls as she spoke, “Well Malfoy, have you been finally let off of your husband’s leash? I expect he threw you out of the manor. He was always too good for you. Look at you now, conversing with the scum of the earth – the niece of a werewolf. Next the whole world will find out you’ve been dating a Hogwarts professor that won’t even touch you.”

Khaat stood up, always a Lupin/Gryffindor through and through. And this old battleaxe, whoever she was, was not just going to come into her place like a hurricane and start insulting her friends. "I don't know who you are," Khaat said quietly, "But if you want to eat, I'll show you to a table. If you have business here, then you deal with me and get out. Otherwise, you have no purpose here and you'll have to leave."

“So I basically told him that he was either going to pay me the amount promised or I’d shoot him and steal all of his money.” Jen said as she threw her knife down on the chopping board. She pulled it out again, leaving a notch in the wood that was in line with the other notches that had come from the knife being thrown into the wood.

“He paid you then?” Rob asked, turning the fish over in the frying pan. He walked over to the fridge and opened it up, taking out two bottles of beer. He took them out and opened them up. Rob handed one to Jen and she took it, drinking deeply from the bottle. She looked down at her feet and smirked a little. Beside her shoes, that had slipped off onto the floor, sat two bottomless bags of money which were nearly overflowing with galleons. Jen looked up at Rob and smiled innocently at him before taking another swig of her beer.
“Well, he did but not in the conventional sense.” Jen shrugged.

Rob flipped the fish again and Jen jumped down off of the counter. She picked up the plate that had Narcissa’s salad on it and Rob put the fish onto it. Jen put it back down on the counter and the two of them stiffened when they heard the familiar piercing laugh of a woman they knew very well. Jen hit the floor immediately and Rob followed soon after. The two of them crawled around the side of the kitchen island and their heads slowly rose so they could see over the counter that the plates would be put on for the waitresses to take. Jen’s mouth fell open and her chin hit the counter. She hissed in pain and pulled back to rub her chin. Rob smirked and looked over to see their mother ranting and raving.

“What you reckon she wants?” Rob asked. He heard a click and looked to see Jen taking aim with her gun across the counter. He flicked the safety back on and pushed the gun away with a scowl on his face. “Do you forget how speedy she is, Jen? She could pull Khaat in front of her and I’m not taking that chance. You have to have a clear shot.”
“I thought you were too wimpy to want me to shoot your own mother.” Jen taunted.
“Our mother.” Rob reminded her.
“Whatever.”

Jen got up and opened the door of the kitchen. She leaned against the doorframe and smiled a little to herself. Rob got up and moved to stand behind her.
“Ello mum!” Jen said with a grin. “Can I ask why you’re still alive? Rob didn’t you shoot her in Athens?”
“That was you. I shot her boyfriend.” Rob said irritably.
“Right you are.” Jen nodded. “Same question, mum.”

My mother in law, Khaat thought. Oh well, she thought, so much for maybe getting on her good side and striking a truce. This old biddie didn't have a good side. Oh well, might as well get this cat fight overwith straight off, then. She looked over at Rob to nonverbally tell him she was gearing up. Charlotte or not. Khaat had clearly heard the sound of the gauntlet being thrown, and she could no more resist that than Robdog could resist a stick or a steak. Khaat was gearing up and would take this overbearing old maid to task today. She didn't care who she was.

"So, what you want is to check me out and whether your son married a worthwhile woman," Khaat flashed at her, ready for battle. "Alright. Here I am, you lucky woman. I'm your daughter in law, Khaat Lupin-Dent, and I"m carrying your granddaughter. Now, I presume you have had enough time to size me up. What exactly is it that you want to know?"
