"Archangel is a very young adult eagle. He's just 6. They dont get their adult feathers until they are at least 4. When they're not in the wild, they can live almost 50 years. I presume that if I grow old and pass away before he does that he will have another best friend who will love him just as much as I do. He is a lifetime committment. If you want to walk over to St. Mungos with me, I'll introduce you to him."

Khaat finished her drink and rose, "Well, let's walk over to St. Mungo's then." She waited for Ami to come with her, and she put on her long black cloak while she waited.

Ami buttoned up her jacket as she got up. "Alright!" She followed Khaat to St. Mungo's.

Khaat took Ami to St Mungos and toured her through the building on the way up to her office. She took her inside where Archangel sat obediently on his perch. The large bald eagle screeched at her happily when she came in with Ami. "I'm glad to see you too," Khaat laughed at him. She went over small insulated lunch bag and got out a plastic container with small pieces of cooked chicken and fed him a couple little bites. "This is Archangel, my best friend," Khaat smiled. "You can use these little bites of chicken to make friends with him if you want."

Ami's eyes widened when she saw the eagle sitting on it's perch, "Wow! He's gorgeous!" Ami walked over to him the bag of chicken and grabbed a piece, she moved slowly, hoping not to intimidate or scare him, a smile crossed her face as he eat the chicken, "I think you've just earned yourself a continuous visitor Khaat!" Ami smiled as she looked at her.

"You're welcome whenever you want," Khaat said, "He's my best friend. My mother raised him from a hatchling and trained him for me. When I subbed at Hogwarts he used to get some very odd looks when he was up in the Owlery. He makes a very odd looking owl. But he's twice as fast, and he's a good protector if need be. And he's very, very smart."

Ami laughed, "I saw him a few times up there, never knew who he belonged too, well I guess until now that is." Ami reached up and petted him, she handed him another chicken bit with the other hand. "What made you want to become a healer, Khaat?" they had talked about Ami and why she wanted o become one but Khaat never said why she wanted to heal. Ami hadn't told them the complete truth, it wasn't just the fact that she liked potions, but what happened after Keena made her want to heal, to be able to save people instead of kill them.
