Time With a Friend (Cont.)

Abbey walked into the cozy shop and sighed as the warm heat enveloped her. She peeled off her sweatshirt, only living her thin t-shirt on underneath and sat down at a small table for two in a corner of the shop. Abbey picked up a menu and glanced over it, finally deciding on a coffee and a sandwich. She put it down and looked over at Gar. "What are you getting?" she asked.

Gar shrugged and ordered something or other. He really wasn't paying attention. A headache was coming on slightly. It wasn't a bad one-yet. He guessed he hadn't pulled his site all the way back to normal. He would have to work on that.

Abbey looked over at Gar and noticed that he had a small pained expression on his face, but she decied to pretend not to notice; he might not want her to know he was in pain. "So.." Abbey began, sipping at her warm coffee. "How have you been lately? I haven't seen you since our meeting in the forest." she said.

"Pretty damn good, actually," Gar said smiling at her. "How have you been since then? Everything goin alright?"
His caring for his friends was kicking in now, and she looked a little stressed.

"Good!" she said. "I'm glad things are going better for you." Before Abbey could answer Gar's question, the waitress came back with their lunch. She placed light blue plates in front of Abbey and Gar. Abbey whispered a small thank-you, then took a big bite out of her sandwich. "Yum! Delicious!" she said, laughing. Abbey took a napkin and dabbed at her cheek where some sauce at gotten on her.

"Oh, and I've been great!" she replied to Gar's question. "But it's really not the same without you at Hogwarts." she mumbled. Abbey had plenty of other great friends, but Gar was one of her best, so it was hard for her not to have him there to cheer her on at Quidditch games and the Triwizard Tournament.

Garulia began eating and smiled at the compliment.
"You could have someone take a moving picture of the match, and maybe it will keep replaying it. But as for the tournament, I'll give you spiritual support."

Abbey laughed and took the last bite of her sandwich before patting her stomach and pushing the plate away. The waitress came by and took it from her. "I'll make sure to have someone take a picture and send it to you."

Gar laughed.
"Alright," he said, giving the waitress his plate as well. "I hope so."

Abbey took another sip of her coffee. The waitress came back and Abbey gave her enough money to pay for herself and Gar. Before he could protest, Abbey held up a finger and said, "I'm paying, my treat."

"Okay, thanks," Gar said happily. He really was having a good day. "This is loads of fun, it really is."
Standing up, he pulled her up too.
"Time to roll outta here. Where you wanna go now? Or do you wanna call it a day?"
