Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

McCoy looked at Weasley enter. ''Ah, Mr. Weasly, how kind of you to attend. And from the first minute you start to court Miss Dawn. Isn't that inappropriate for class? I am sure you could think of something more romantic'', McCoy said with a smile.

''Now, since I shall be so nice to attribute you not answering my question to the havoc Mr. Weasley caused, I shall continue with the lesson. You have, as you can see, three objects on your desks. A cage with a small fish statue, a book, again in a cage, and a piece of wood. Your job is to use the three spells from today's lesson and transfigure these objects. First, you will use the Lapifors spell to transfigure the fish statue into a live rabbit, which is why the statue is in the cage. Second, you will use the Snufflifors spell to transform the book, in the cage, into a mouse. And finally, you will use the Scribblifors to transform the piece of wood into a quill. A rather easy task for today. And fun, I hope. You can all begin.'', he said.

Alice listened to the professor talk about their lesson when a boy she knew walked into the classroom, late, she was oblivious to the fact that he started talking to another friend, Abbey. Alice took out her wand and pointed it to the fish statue in the cage and whispered, "Lapifors." The fish statue immediately changed into a living rabbit. Alice whooped quietly, causing her nearest classmates to look at her funny. She felt her cheeks start to burn and was embarrassed that she scolded herself for whooping.

Alice turned to the book in the cage. She said the charm, " Snufflifors" And the book changed into a cute golden satin little mouse. "Awww...." Alice said. Then, Alice turned to the other cage and said, "Scribblifors" And the piece of wood turned into a quill. Alice was ecstatic when she turned the piece of wood into a quill.

Alice wanted to hold the mouse so badly that she couldn't hold the temptation any longer. She opened the cage that had the mouse and picked up the small golden satin mouse and held it carefully. She had some practice with holding mice because one of her friends had a few mice. Alice continued to hold the mouse and nuzzled it with her cheek. The little mouse sneezed and Alice felt the wetness of the sneeze. "Bless you, mouse." Alice decided to name the mouse Honey because of the mouse's color. The mouse was a girl and Alice loved holding her.

Abbey's face turned red at Professor McCoy's comment. "B..b..but.." she stammered. Abbey finally gave up, knowing it wouldn't do any good commenting on it. Instead, she hung her head and tried to work on the assignment.

Abbey peered through the bars of the cage and looked at the statue intently. Abbey pointed her wand at the statue and muttered, "Lapifors." The statue jiggled a bit. Finally, it produced the front end of a rabbit, but the bottom of the statue remained stone. Abbey giggled silently at the funny sight and decided to try that spell later. She then pointed her wand at the book. [i]"Snufflifors!" she said. This produced better results. The book quivered and turned into a plain, tiny gray mouse. It wiggled it's cute pink nose and squeaked. Abbey jiggled her finger in between the bars and petted the mouse. She smiled, then moved onto the piece of wood. "Scribblifors!" she said, aiming her wand at the brown wood. It produced a peacock feather sticking out the top, while the bottom remained a wood, just like the statue. Abbey scowled and turned to Louis. "How are you doing?" she whispered.

"Lapifors," James said. He flicked his wand easily and sat back bored as a rabbit formed from the fish statue. He turned it back into a statue once or twice, trying to decide which looked better in a cage. He settled for the statue- it smelled better. He turned to the book. He cast the spell again his attention completely focused on the spell. "Snufflifors." He tried NOT to sound bored, but the perfectly brown mouse that was created from the book looked about with beady eyes. It looked so curious, James nearly felt bad for it. To suddenly exist as a magical entity, it would simply transform into a book after some time. He then transformed the wood into a feather, though he spent some time forcing it to spin around on it's root.

"My apologies, sir" Bane said rather quietly as he slipped quickly into the room. He looked at the teacher as he spoke, hoping to make somewhat of a good first impression, knowing it wouldn't be very easy, seeing as he is fashionably late. He had no excuse other than the failure of his internal body clock. He had learned after multiple years of school, that this excuse would not one that would go over well.

Bane proceded to work his way into the back of the classroom, until he found an open desk. He then placed his wand on the front of his desk, and pulled out a quill, ink, and parchment.

Louis pulled out his wand and looked at the professor, he didn't like him. He looked at Abbey and tried to cheer her up with a smile. But he began working on the spells.

Louis quietly said "Lapifors", the spells head managed to earn ears. He grinned and tried again, this time he got the tale. He tried once again, and managed to actually have a rabbit in a cage in front of him. He grinned and looked at Abbey's feather. When she asked how he was doing he said, Done the Rabbit. He silently laughed at Abbey's feather. He turned back to his own and quickly asked, What about you?. He looked at the rabbit...and sighed. Changing it to a rat will be hard.

McCoy looked at the class. ''Miss Delacour, brilliant. You can keep the mouse if you want. If you find him so sweet... 15 points for Gryffindor. Mr. Wake, try to look more interested next time, 10 points for Ravenclaw.'', he said. He then saw Abbed and Louis. He smiled an walked slowly behind then. He put his head between them, bending down.

''As I have said, do be more creative the two of you. Try this, Mr. Weasley.'', McCoy said taking out his wand and conjuring a box of chocolates giving them to Louis. ''I hope you know what to do with them'', he said and want back to the front of the class. ''Oh yes, Miss Dawn, 15 points for Hufflepuff.'', he said walking.

Sorry sir, I have no idea what to do with these! he said laughing. He looked at the chocolates and grinned, was there a trick to this. Or was it...so simple...that he just wasn't getting it? He looked at his rabbit and it hopped around the cage a bit....was he supposed to eat the chocolate or...

Alice squealed. She loved Professor McCoy. She grabbed the other thing besides the mouse and put it aside. She put Honey back into the cage. She said, "Thank you, Professor!"
