Khaat's rented owl arrived at Grimmauld Place with Khaat's envelope, with Jess's name on it. Inside she had written a note, saying that she was in Transylvania with Professor Dent and a Hogwarts student, Miseria Manson. Her parents had been murdered, and Khaat firmly believed they were death eaters from the Hogwarts area.
She told Jess Miseria's father had been hiding a prophesy ball, and the prophesy had been revealed to Khaat when she picked up the ball out of its hiding place. She said the prophesy showed that Miseria would grow to become a significant threat to Voldemorts followers, and that Dent and Khaat were to raise her. Khaat said she believed Miseria's father somehow obtained the prophesy from the London ministry of magic and was hiding it to protect Miseria.
She further added that she had killed a Hogwarts area death eater last night in a duel, an old woman intent on killing her. Khaat had been forced to use the killing curse. She believed more death eaters from the Hogwarts area would certainly be on the way to Transylvania to try to kill her and Dent in order to kill Miseria. She asked for advice and possibly help--especially when they got back home.
