A Middnight Snack...(Open)

Spike had been so wrapped up in only being with Zoe and wanting to please her that he lost all of his other friends. But he was ok with that, he didn't really have that many to start with. He was just happy that he had Zoe in his life. Tonight he is out in the forest hunting down some prey to drink. Now sure he could just use the ones that the ministry gave him and quinsh his thirst quickly but he likes the fun of the hunt. He stands on a branch with his head tillted listening to the forest. He can hear some elk in a clearing drinking from a make shift pond. In the other direction he can hear the centar talking to each other. He knew that attacking them was out of the question so he decided to go with the elk. He jumped from tree to tree till he was close enough to them to be able to jump in one bound and drink thirstily. He chose out the biggest and fastest. When he was ready he jumped from the tree soundless and tackled the elk. The other elk ran into the forest. He took his fangs and bite down into the neck of the elk killing it instantly. Once he was done drinking it he set it to the side for some other animal to have. He then stood up ready to walk back to the castle.

It seemed that Amadora was forever in the woods absorbing the nature and peacefulness that was present inside the Forbidden Forest. She knew that it was against the rules to enter such a place but no Death Eaters hiding out and torturing students scared her. It wasn't the full moon so there was no danger of a werewolf coming to finish off what another had already started. But she didn't know if there were any vampires in the forest. She didn't know the feeding patterns of them but a vampire deciding to drink her dry wasn't a particularly terrifying prospect if she was being honest.

Dora walked over to the Thestral colony and stroked the nose of one of the younger ones. The animal was turned away and Dora looked up at the mother in surprise. All of the young ones were being pushed together and the adults were making a perimeter around them but for the life of her Dora couldn't figure out why. One of the Thestrals nudged her and Dora's hand instinctively went to the skirt of her dress, brushing away any dirt.

Dora was thrown into the middle of the group with the younger Thestrals and she pushed herself onto her tip-toes, straining to see over the animals. But thankfully she didn't have to look for too long because a scared looking elk ran past them. Instantly Dora knew what had happened. It was a predator, one at the very top of the food chain. Vampire.

As he stood up ready to walk back to the castle he noticed that the Threastles where guarding someone. He couldn't make out who it was, but he wondered if they where protecting that person from him. He never really thought of himself as an evil person towards people but Threastles wouldn't know that. He walked a good foot closer to them and then bowed gracefully. He lifted his head to see if they where leting the person go.

Dora bit her lip and looked around at the Thestrals. As much as she would have loved to stay there all night she just didn't have the body that could put up with the harsh conditions. Hell, she couldn't even walk into something without cracking a rib or something of the like. She knew the moral of that was to not walk into things but everyone did it, she just had worse repercussions.

Finally, the Thestrals shoved her out and Dora struggled to regain her balance. She did eventually but once she'd turned she saw that the Thestrals had scattered into the Forest. Dora sighed and lifted her foot up to rub the soles. She did forget her tendency to go some places without shoes but it never really bothered her because she was usually mildly graceful. But there was a small cut on the sole of her right one now. She licked her thumb and wiped the small line of red away and put her foot back down onto the leaves.

Dora looked up and found who ever had made the Thestrals desert her. She smiled sheepishly and brushed the front of her dress again. Dora's hand went up to the back of her neck and massaged the skin there just as it was beginning to ache. "Hi." she said lamely.

As spike stood up right he could see the threastles leaving. He loved the fact that he could see them. It scared some of the other students. As the threastles left he was finally able to see the person that they were guarding. He smiled to see that it was a girl. "Hello. Are you ok? Did they hurt you?" He asked her not sure if he had caused them to guard her or not.

"No I'm fine." Dora said absent-mindedly as she watched one of the smaller Thestrals run through some bushes. She pushed some of her hair out of her eyes and smiled at the person before her. She looked down at her hand and turned it over, inspecting it before checking her magic. All was in order which meant the glamours were there. Amadora sighed in relief and smiled a little at the boy. "I think they just got a little scared. Not like that usually but I'm sure they'll be fine soon."

Spike smiled as he knew why they had become scared. It was because of him, he didn't mind though, he just didn't like that they protected her from him, this made him feel like the bad guy. It wasn't his fault that he was like this. He just smiled at her as she checked herself over, he already knew that she was fine but let her do her normal human things. So when she finished he walked with her through the forest. "Well I am sorry for all that has happen to night. Would you like me to walk you back to the castle? Just incase anything else that is suppose to be nice hurts you?" Spike asked her hoping she wouldn't take it the wrong way.
