Welcome to Potter’s Army

Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

A Dinner Date Empty A Dinner Date

Post by Baldric Pierson Thu Dec 31, 2009 9:47 pm

Robert had ironically forgotten where he'd booked a restaurant. He was having a unique sense of Deja Vu but he couldn't remember when this had happened to him before. It was on the tip of his tongue more or less and yet he couldn't place it.

Thankfully though, Rob could remember which street it was on and thankfully it was a wizarding restaurant so it couldn't be too hard at all if he thought rationally about it. However, Robert Dent never thought rationally about anything so all hope of that was long lost.

Something shiny caught Rob's eye and he turned to see a restaurant which seemed quite familiar to him. He walked towards it and tapped the door. On the front his name appeared in gold italics meaning that, that was the restaurant that he'd reserved a booth in.

Rob smiled to himself and leaned against the building, intent on waiting for the beautiful woman that had captured his attention when he'd first come to Hogwarts for his teaching job.

A Dinner Date Empty Re: A Dinner Date

Khaat couldn't remember when she'd been this nervous. Maybe her first yule ball? She'd chosen a sleek, red silk dress, and diamond earrings, with black stilettos. And she'd pulled her shoulder length hair back with a diamond hair clip. Over her dress, she'd put on a trim winter white wool coat and picked up a black satin evening bag. She decided she wanted her uncle's wand tonight, and she used it to apparate to London onto a side street, tucked the wand in her coat, and walked around the corner to the front of the restaurant to meet Rob. She saw him waiting out front for her. It made her smile. Made her feel uncommonly warm all over. She hoped she wasn't too obvious. Just enough.

Rob cast his eyes down the street once more and his eyes drifted over a woman before flicking back almost instantly. It was Khaat! His Khaat... wait, what? When did he start thinking of her that way? No matter though because when ever it was he didn't care because she was mesmerising. Robert pushed himself away from the wall and walked over to Khaat. He gently placed a kiss on her cheek and smiled softly. "I don't think words can describe how beautiful you look tonight Khaat." he murmured with a loving look in his eyes that he hoped against hope she couldn't see.

"Thank you, "she smiled, so glad to see him, so glad to be with him. She couldn't think of one other place, not one other person she would rather be with at the moment. Everything else seemed to run out of her head. "You're awfully handsome, yourself, " she said. "I think this is the first time we've been able to talk without a student around. That is definately a professional hazard. This is much, much better."

"It would worry me if Hogwarts was devoid of students. It would post a unique problem to the educational system and the Ministry would have to worry about a hell of a lot of missing children." Rob chuckled, leading Khaat over to the building.

He knocked on the door once more and his name lit up before the door fell open. He smiled and let Khaat step in first before going in and shutting the door behind himself. It was an interesting Restaurant, everyone inside would see something completely different and another interesting thing was that no one would be in the room with them except their date. It was like a Room of Requirement spell but oh so much better.

"Oh, this is very nice, "Khaat smiled, "I've never been here. I guess when I'm here in town or at St. Mungos, I tend to go to muggle places. I have no idea on earth why, though. This is beautiful." Khaat was looking around at the beautifully romantic surroundings when the host came up and looked at Rob and asked, "Do you have a reservation, Sir?"

Rob raised an eyebrow at the host and wandered around to the podium where they kept the book of reservations. He thumbed through it until he came to his name and pointed to it with a smirk. "Nah, we just broke in." he said with a roll of his eyes. "Notice my friend that when one taps on the door, their name appears in gold signalling their reservation. When with their date it opens."

Rob smiled and wandered over to another door. He failed to look around the small foyer but the doors either side told him enough. The only ones that worried him were those on he left because that was where the wall ended so how did they get rooms there? Rob smiled cheekily at the host and lead Khaat through into their, uh, room? and closed the door quite abruptly.

"An idiot." Rob said with a smile.

"I guess he's having an off night," Khaat laughed. She was impressed at what she saw. It looked like a beautiful candlelit garden, full of beautiful flowers, enchanted butterflies and birds. She could hear water flowing, like from a creek. The only sounds she heard were nature sounds, so beautiful and so peaceful. In the center of the garden was their candlelit table, with a crisp white Irish linen tablecloth. "Its perfect," she said softly, "You have wonderful taste." She took her coat off and draped it over her chair. She hadn't looked for a coat rack. She was more interested in all the serene beauty all around her.
