Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"I was angry OK? I wasn't thinking clearly. I made a mistake," Shacklebolt admitted, shrugging.

"And this is what a simple mistake, as you put it, has cost you Kingsley." Narcissa said, shaking her head. "You were foolish."

The trial of Kingsley Shacklebolt - Page 3 Empty Re: The trial of Kingsley Shacklebolt

Post by Khaat Lupin Tue Dec 29, 2009 7:39 pm

Khaat agreed with Shacklebolt. Majere and the aurors had had it coming--that and a lot more. She was sorry now she had restrained herself as she had. 'Mental note to self, ' she thought, 'Give Majere no quarter next time. Unforgivable curse or not. ' Sometimes it was, perhaps, unforgivable to leave an idiot in the driver's seat.

But Shacklebolt was twisting the truth here as much as Majere. She sighed heavily, wishing they had simply colluded, gotten their scripts straight and moved on. It seemed they both wanted the same thing. But she believed he was lying about the murder about the German minister. "Is there anything else you wish to badger the Headmaster about Majere? Or have you so quickly forgotten I was there too when you destroyed Hogwarts property instead of even attempting to be the least bit professional? You had no way of knowing if Headmaster Shacklebolt had students there or not and if he did, where they were in his office. You were willing to risk the lives of students simply to make a theatrical entrance in order to intimidate today's defendant. What exactly would wizarding parents think of your thoughtless and irresponsible behavior? What if somone's child, or grandchild..." she glanced at Narcissa, "had been in the way of that completely needless Bombarda spell?"

Vincent remained as calm as ever as he turned to look at Lupin with his eyes. "Lupin, I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. It seems like you are confused, very confused. I did not go up to Shacklebolt's office, as Shacklebolt will undoubtedly tell you. I only sent to aurors, how they behaved is not my concern but Gabrielle's. Though you most possibly are making this up. So please, if you do not have anything useful to say, don't waste our time." Here, Vincent turned back to Shacklebolt. "So, you do not deny any of the charges. As I said earlier, these acts will almost lead to a life sentence at Azkaban, your confessions make this a defenite. I vote therefore that Kingsley Shacklebolt spend the remaining years of his life in Azkaban due to corruption, murder of a ministry worker, attack on aurors and murder of the German Minister of Magic."

"I'm sorry Majere but I thought it was Emof who was convicted of killing the German Minister of Magic?" Narcissa said, raising her eyebrow. "Unless you are suggesting they worked together I suggest you re-think his charges." Narcissa also decided to add then, "How could you just send Aurors? You are one yourself and don't have that type of power. Furthermore if you weren't there then why do you claim to know a fair bit about what went on in that room? Surely word of mouth and simple reports aren't that resourceful."

"Oh, he was there," Khaat said boldly, "He blasted his way in with a Bombarda spell. He was one of the prime wizards who decided to take the Headmaster by force., and in the process he wounded me with a Sectumsempra curse. That was the main reason I had to be taken to the hospital ward in the first place. If there had been a student behind the Headmaster's door they would certainly have been hurt or killed by your foolishness. That was overkill simply for the sake of your own ego, Majere! There is a liar in this room today--YOU!"

"Perhaps Shacklebot isn't the only one that need's to be on trial. Withholding evidence in a case is a crime - one that should be taken seriously Majere. So perhaps we should have a Potions Master bring some Veritaserum in and we'll see just how much evidence you are withholding." Narcissa said dangerously.

Vincent looked at Khaat as she began shouting again. He just smiled slightly, he knew he was the one in power, and she couldn't do anything. "Lupin," he said coldly. "I think you have demonstrated your immaturity in this court enough for now. If you cannot control yourself I will be forced to call aurors in to escort you out of here. Perhaps you need to go to St.Mungos, it seems like you had an illusion or something. Or you are just lying, I do not recall ever being in the headmasters office."

"Your questions are interesting indeed Narcissa, at least you are far more sensible than Lupin" Vincent commented, before continuing. "Firstly, Emof was charged with the murder of the German minister of magic but he was not sent to prison for that as we did not have enough evidence," Vincent replied curtly. "Now we know who committed the murder. Next Narcissa, I am afraid your information is a bit faulty. I lead the aurors who have been sent to defend Hogwarts. So I have authority over them. Lastly, I heard all this from Professor Wilson, who came up to the scene bravely and managed to calm down Kingsley before he caused too much damage."

Khaat looked at Narcissa just enough to tell her that he clearly was lying about almost everything he was saying. That just wasn't how it happened. And he was showing his sheer ignorance about medical and mental health issues altogether. And if he thought for one minute he would take her anywhere, she had both wands. She would definately kill him this time--or anyone else who decided to lay their hands on her. For now, she said nothing.

Shacklebolt knew that Khaat would clearly be in trouble if she continued arguing like this. He frowned then decided. He also HAD to get into Azkaban. Getting in there was the difficult part, getting out of it was easy. "Khaat, what are you talking about? That was not how it happened. Vincent Majere wasn't up in the office, it was only me, two aurors and Wilson." Shacklebolt said with a frown.
