General Appearance: (Khaat is avg. ht and weight with a well toned and muscular appearance. Is most comfortable in classic clothing styles--a pair of jeans, a white cotton shirt with the sleeves rolled up to 3/4, a tan leather belt at her waist, and practical serviceable running shoes, always silver jewelry, like her favorite little hoop earrings. she wears an unusual necklace that she has worn since birth. the necklace is an unusual green stone about the size of an american dime. the stone has a sparkling essence to it as if it has an intelligence of its own. khaat does not talk about it with people who she doesn't consider close to her. the stone is mounted in a very unusual silver setting. the necklace is enchanted, does not have a clasp to be removed and was given to her by her uncle and can only be removed by him) the stone has many properties, but what she does know is that if she is in lifethreatening danger, the stone alerts Remus immediately. it also insulates her from ever manifesting his curse as long as she wears it. her family does not know if she has the ability to shift to a werewolf because they have never chanced the removal of the protective stone. she has also discovered, by accident, that she can clutch the stone in her right hand and call for Remus and it will alert him that she is summoning him.
PERSONALITY.Khaat is most comfortable with just a few very close friends. she is outgoing, but she does not share the deeper parts of herself until she finds that loyalty in her new friend. She has a quick fiery temper that is aggravated most rapidly by injustice of any kind. she will and does stand up, regardless of the risk to herself, for someone in trouble or someone being mistreated. she is athletic and loves to exercise.
Skills: (Khaat's chief interest of study is Defense Against the Dark Arts. She also likes to sketch and paint with watercolors. she likes to run, ride horses, and loves animals of all sort. She has always wanted to play the flute or the piccolo but has not taken the time to try it.
Weaknesses:Khaat is a young woman of great courage--except that she does not have any confidence in herself when it comes to believing she is attractive. That's what makes her more insecure than anything else. She connects with people not because of what they look like on the outside but who they are on the inside, partly because she does not want to be rejected by someone else if they do not think she is attractive enough for their liking.

She is seeking to join Hogwarts and find a couple of close, good friends like those she left behind at her old school and at home. She makes friends easily and is extremely loyal to her friends.

HISTORYFamily Information: Father: Robert Cyril Lupin--alumni of Gryffindor--is a potionsmaster who works at the local apothecary formulating potions for wizard families and pharmaceutical duties for muggles. Also runs the family farm in a remote part of the rural Cornwall district of England, along the coast. Robert is a quiet man who does not posess his brother's courage and therefore has fended some of Khaat's raising to Remus because Robert felt Remus could understand and help reel in some of her need to take chances and go adventuring, and help her master that courage she has.
Mother: Katherine "Kate" Elizabeth Lupin--alumni of Gryffindor--specialized in care of magical creatures. helps with the family farm, and helps train and handraise various magical creatures. Also is very artistic and likes to paint and sculpt and make beautiful handthrown stoneware that she sells in the apothecary in the village. Kate was friends with both Lupin brothers in Hogwarts but grew to love Robert's quiet steadiness more than Remus's bohemian tendencies. She approves of Khaat's iron strong bond to her uncle because she also believes, like Robert, that Khaat would be "out of hand" without it.
Khaat has no siblings.
Uncle: Remus Lupin--Khaat's uncle and her best friend and confidant. He is her godfather, and he has been her mentor and is a fierce protector of her. he put the green stone necklace on her just moments after her birth and enchanted it so that only he can remove it from her. only he and Khaat and her parents know its true power. Remus uses the Lupin farm as a sanctuary and has a set of rooms there in the large rambling farmhouse for use when his "handicap", as Khaat calls it, impacts him so that he needs to slip away for awhile because of its beauty and peace. When Khaat was born, Remus felt he would never have a child of his own because it would not be fair to chance that it would carry his curse. So he dotes on Khaat, and she loves him deeply.
Childhood: Khaat grew up on the Lupin farm, learning care of magical creatures from her mother and defense of the dark arts from her father and her uncle. she has 2 female friends locally--2 pureblood girls that live in a little hamlet not far from Khaat's house. Megan, 16, works in the village at a small teahouse that her grandmother owns, when she is not going to Hogwarts,where she has been a Ravenclaw since she was a 1st year. Stacy, 16, also attends Hogwarts as a Ravenclaw and works in the family veternary practice when she is home. They all have been friends since they were babies and they share all of each other's secrets. Khaat is leaving behind 2 good friends at Beaubatons--Marie and Lisette--twin sisters that she shared a dorm with and they also know her secrets, as well as does Marie and Lisette's brother Paul who attends Dumstrang. Khaat has spent some holidays with Marie and Lisette's family in a rural area in France just north of Paris, and has become close to them.
Hogwarts: Khaat spent her first 4 years at Beaubatons's, choosing there because she was hoping they would make her a "true" lady and that she could experience some adventure at the same time. Khaat was hoping she would graduate and feel more confident in herself in those deep secret innermost reaches of herself. But her heart is with her home, her family and her close friends. Over the last year, her grades drastically droppped as she became more homesick and Remus persuaded her to apply for transfer to Hogwarts. Khaat's pet that she had at Beaubatons is a magical bald eagle named Archangel. He was handreared by Khaat and her mother from a hatchling and is capable of taking on all owl duties and also being a sensitive animal companion for her and a protector if necessary. He gets some odd looks when others see an eagle in the owlery, but Khaat would be brokenhearted without Archangel beside her. Archangel wears a minature copy of Khaat's necklace, and Remus has never revealed whether or not its' green stone has magical qualities or not. But Khaat has always sensed that it has some sort of power.
Adulthood: (One paragraph - only if your character is graduated.)
Short Roleplay: Khaat tucks her broken wand inside her robes and sighs deeply with frustration. She walks up the stairs tiredly and uses the password to enter the Gryffindor common rooms. She tosses the wood fragments of her wand carelessly onto a table where the shards immediately cast sparks everywhere. she watches the startled gryffindors scattering every direction. as the sparks and the tensions in the room die down, she starts to laugh, suddenly feeling better about this bad day.
