The update has been finished, thank you for your patience. Now, I suggest that you all read this thread as if you don't you will get confused as we have made lots of changes. At the very least, read the ranks and jobs part.
PLOT
The plot for Potters army remains the same, however, there are two new subplots, one for Hogwarts and one for the Death Eaters and the Order. Have a look at both of these, and you can even participate in these plots.
LAYOUT
The first thing you'll notice is that the layout has changed quite a bit. Firstly, the daily prophet is gone, replaced with announcements, the quibbler, PA discussion and Help desk. The daily prophet is now at the portal, which shows all the upcoming events as well as current news, so please have a look there often now. The quibbler shows all IC news, so if you want to keep track of the PA plot, read some of the threads there!
The ministry has changed, we have removed two departments to put more emphasis on the other departments. Fore more info, check the ministry section at educational decrees.
Also, Diagon Alley now has more shops, and the shop system and money system have been revised for more info check the diagon alley thread at educational decrees.
Lastly, there are several new RP forums for you to post in.
RANKS AND JOBS
The ranks and jobs system has changed. Your job, or year your in, now appear in every one of your posts under your avatar. This new system allows us to easily change your rank. Unfortunately, we had to erase all ranks due to changes in jobs, therefore, please please please post
here!There are many new jobs, the majority of them in the ministry. Now, we allow more aurors in the ministry. You now get pay for doing a job as a graduate, see the Job enlistment forum for all the salaries and the jobs you can take. Each of the jobs now has more stuff to do.
The fueding force you are in appears on the top of your user name, but you have to post it at the ranks thread that I mentioned above.
CLASSES
The classes are one thing we haven't really done that much work on. This is because in a week all classes will be closed for christmas holidays. We will do more work on classes in december.
CANONS
We have cleaned up canons and added more that you may want to claim. We have removed any inactive canons and have also posted information about the canon families such as the Potters and the Malfoys.
MONEY SYSTEM
The money system has been edited, for more check money system at Educational decrees.
SPELLS
We have added some canon and non-canon spells at Educational Decrees, these are not finished yet.
POSTING
There are now Topic descriptions, these are very useful for making new threads.
EVENTS
There are a lot of new events coming up, so make sure you check those!
ADMINS
The admins have been updated. Sue has been demoted and Matt has been promoted to Admin.
OTHER STUFF
We've changed some other stuff too, mainly for newbies, such as the PA guide and the newbie letter. There are several new educational decrees if you want to check them out. There are some small change in graphics as well. We also did a LOT of cleaning up, nearly all the threads 2 months old are gone now.
I'd like to thank Jemma, Matt and Dae for doing a lot of help. Mari, Jess and Sophia also helped quite a bit.
