How your character became a werewolf: Lily never meant to leave her parents on the night of the full moon. But she was so absorbed in watching snow fall that she did not hear her parents call her. By the time the snow stopped, her parents were long gone. And Lily was only 7. So she did exactly what she was not supposed to do, she moved deeper into the forest. A werewolf just so happened to be in the same part of the woods. It attacked her, and left her almost dead. Her parents found her, and were devistated, but there was nothing they could do. She now bears horrible scars all over her left leg and her chest. That was why she never wears dresses, to hide her leg.

How your character became a werewolf: He was born a werewolf.

Sorry, but your going to have to offer me a different explanation for how your character became a werewolf.

See, in the HP series, Lycanthropy isn't passed on. (like Teddy Lupin for example.)

To pass on the werewolf blood. So it was planned rather than being an accident.
Or is that a little morbid? :/
