It was midnight - cold windy night. Daniel decided to take a midnight swim in the lake...splash, he jumped into the water, gasping as the cold, icy water touch the edge of his skin and then accidentally shallowing a mouthful of water down his throat. He quickly shut his mouth and drained the rest of it down his throat though the taste of it was not so pleasurable as drinking a nice, clean fresh water that you get from a tap. The water tasted more dirtier and more saltier, it had little gunk of broken-off seaweed that made it taste even worse and slimier. Push, stroke, kick it was all he needed to do to be able to swim, he pushed himself deeper into the water and explored everything around him; bubble forming and flowing out of his nose and popping as the pressure of the water was pressed onto it.

Daniel continued to look around, still trying to keep himself afloat in his position and saw a ruin down below. To his dismay he turned around and saw a tail whipping in front of him. It took only a few second for him to realize what it was -- it was a female merperson or whatever they called when it was only one merpeople, cause to him it sounded like the plural, it was so confusing what was the word described for one particular merperson/people. All of a sudden a quite, musical voice filled up his ears it sounded a lot like a lullaby;  he was surprised the merpeople were  actually playing a nice, musical lullaby it was so lovely it had drawn him into the music causing him to almost forget to breath so after a few second he realized and seeing them breathing made him realized that he wasn't breathing and started feeling like his lung was going to explode because of it lack of air. Quickly, he swam back up to the surface as quickly as he could which was easy now he had powerful vampire strength and when he got there he gasped for air and ran his hand up his face and through his hair, pulling it back. Water falling from his hand and down his face then into the water where it belonged.

She shivered as the cool air brushed against her skin. She heard someone swimming in the lake Who would be swimming in this weather? She thought. She walked to the lake and saw a male's bare body in the water. Her eyes widened as she saw him, the moonlight reflecting off of his skin. The light was dim enough for her to see his face; it was the same gorgeous face she had seen and talked to at the Leaky Cauldron. And with that she gave a low chuckle to herself. She walked to the bank of the lake and watched him for a minute. "Are you crazy?" She said jokingly to him "It's freezing!" She shivered again, her teeth chattering.

Daniel heard a voice, a familiar voice which sent his stomach to leap and his heart to flutter. He turned around to the source of the voice and saw her standing there right behind him, standing there looking as beautiful as she always been just there and letting the wind blow away her perfect scent towards him; Daniel sighed as he took in her intoxicating; pomegranate perfume. He felt his lip twitching into a smile as he opened his eyes again and looked at her as she spoke to him in her beautiful, mystical voice that drew him closer to her. "Yeah, it is. But the longer you stay in it, the warmer the water get. Actually you'll feel numb after a while," he grinned as his vampire fangs flashed at her. The water was freezing though at this point he was quite numb to the coldness due because that he had been in the water for quite some time, he wanted her to come in but he was worried that she might get ill, no one as beautiful as her deserved to be sick. She was like an angel to him, sent from heaven to brighten up his day.   

She sat down on the ground and looked at him "I would go in but... I can't swim" She chuckled and blushed. What kind of person her age couldn't swim? She didn't care for getting sick, she just wanted to be with him, no matter the cost. She reached her hand in and dipped her hand in the water. She shivered; it was colder than she had thought. She couldn't take her eyes off of his shining chest and arms, which were covered in muscles. And also his beautiful face, looking directly at her's.

Daniel watched her as she told him that she couldn't swim yet, his mind automatically shouted out 'yes!' a perfect opportunity to finally have his strong arm around Julia; teach her to swim what could hurt. He was still worried that Julia will be sick if she stayed in the freezing, cold water he didn't want her to be sick, she was too beautiful and petite but part of him knew that having her sick wouldn't hurt a bit just as long as he had her in his arm plus this was probably his last chance to teach Julia how to swim, there was no other time he thought of would be a good time to teach her. "Perhaps, I can teach you to swim. Well if you want to..." he said and trailed off as he smiled at her, thoughtfully while he continued to thread in the water trying to keep a float in one particular spot. "The water is probably too cold, maybe I can try keep you warm," he continued. He knew that it was quite stupid of him to say that including the fact that he was a vampire, part undead so therefore his skin was freezing cold; it was probably the same temperature as the freezing cold water he swam in; Daniel swam closer to the shore until he felt the bottom of his feet touch the top the ground below him which he stood carefully, offering a hand out to Julia with a smile on his face.

She smiled back to him, accepting his offer to teach her how to swim. She couldn't hold back from staying away from him anymore, she would take any opportunity she could to be with him. She looked around through the trees as she took off her sweater and shoes. "Don't you think someone would see us?" She asked. She didn't want to get in any trouble, but if she was with Daniel, she wouldn't care. She took off the rest of her clothes, only in a pair of shorts and a bra. She blushed at the way he looked at her, but she liked the way his stare was almost unbreakable. She slowly stepped into the water and ran to Daniel, wrapping her arms around his neck and curling up against him. "I-I-It's f-freeeeezing!" She stated, with a little giggle. She was shivering like crazy but she was determined to learn how to swim with him. She knew that curling up with him wasn;t the best idea considering his skin was almost as cold as the water, but she wanted to feel his skin against her's. She was holding on to him tightly trying to keep warm, she also had wrapped her legs around his waist leaning against him with her eyes closed. As cold as it was, she wanted to stay this way forever.

"It pretty late, everyone probably asleep." Daniel said, smiling warmly at her as she watched her take off her sweaters and shoes. Then took off the rest of her clothes, his stares were almost unbreakable, he couldn't take his eyes off her it was like she had an invisible, unbreakable rope around him forbidding him to break his gaze from her though he enjoyed watching her strip down right in front of him, at ease; despise the fact he wanted to badly to look away as to show he respected her privacy but she seem to be fine with him watching her. Slowly, she started to step into the water and ran up to Daniel; Daniel smiled and as she wrapped her arms around him, he automatically wrapped his arm around her waist as she curled up against him. "I know right," grinned Daniel, holding onto her. "I don't think with my cold, icy skin is helping at all," he continued and laughed. He sounded amused; Daniel chuckled as she shivered like crazy but still looked determined to learn how to swim with him. "You look cold, do you want to do this another time," he asked her just to make sure as he watched her. To his dismay he found her legs wrapped around his waist and leaning against him, he laughed again and with his strong vampire powers he removed her leg and arm from his waist and neck then placed his hands on her waist to lift her into the air and put her on his back. It was more comfortable that way, he didn't want her to drown underneath him. "Sorry," he smirked as he looked over his shoulders, one hand on top of hers . "It feels more comfortable."

Julia was shocked at how strong he was, I mean, who could carry her? She chuckled and placed her arms on his shoulders and held onto him, wrapping her legs around him for support. "No, no I still want to learn" She smiled. She rested her head on his left shoulder staring at his face, waiting for him to respond. She started to feel numb like he had said, but the cold was definitely still there. She only shivered a few times. "Don't be sorry, this is a better position anyways. I'm sure it would be difficult to teach me how to swim as I'm hanging off of you She chuckled lightly. She looked down into the dark water and about five feet away, she saw a tail whipping. She jumped, startled, and slipped off of his back into the waist-high water. She coughed, accidentally swallowing the salt water, and got to her feet, with a hand on her chest with a few coughs coming up.

It didn't surprise him when she responded that she still want to learn, he could see the eagerness on her face and how determined she looked to learn how to swim. Daniel knew just as long as she was here, holding onto him it didn't really matter if the water was freezing and she could get sick, she didn't want to let go off him; Daniel smiled at her he couldn't help but feel the same way as she did to just stay here and to never let go no matter what came in between them. "Alright then," he smiled at her and started to slowly swim around in circle at the same time as he taught her how to swim though it felt quite weird and at the same time felt kind of mean, it as if she knew nothing - Of course he wasn't saying she was, she was a brilliant, intelligent girl; it just felt weird but at the same time so right and the touch of her skin made him shiver and his heart to race. "True," he laughed , when she said it would be difficult to teach her how to swim as he continued to go around in circle. "Well, um.." hesitated Daniel, feeling quite awkward. "Hold on to me, and kick your feet in the air as i move you around," he told her and smiled, politely at her. All of a sudden he heard a two splashing sound in the water beside him, he turned around startled as Julia slipped right off off his back into the waist-high water, accidentally swallowing the salt water. "Julia! what the matter, are you okay. What happen," he panicked as he put his arm around her and slowly patted her on the back, worried that he might have done something to her, he felt like it was all his problem . 

She coughed a last time and held on to him "I'm fine, you didn't do anything wrong.... What the heck is that? Does this lake have mer-people?" She stared at the whipping tail under the water, it swam in circles, seeming as it was dancing. She looked back to him. Their faces were so close to one another, maybe inches away. She couldn't help but lean in to him. She caught herself and stopped, but stayed where she was. She put her hand on his cheek and stared into his eyes.
