Miseria sighed quietly and then she turned her blushing face away. She knew Josh only for a few days! But knowledge that he liked her, made her feel happier. Butterflies appeared at her stomach, however, she was just staring with emotionless face at the snowy lake.
She swallowed quietly and then she looked back at him. He was looking away. No wonder. Finally she smiled again, although, she felt how her heart was beating so hard. It made it only worse. This pain was horrible. She took her mittens off and reached her white, but soft hand and took his arm, holding it gently. Saying no words, she only stared at Josh.

Still looking at the sky he thought of the thousand faces she was making at that moment. But what concerned him was the gentle, soft touch of her hand. Yet he thought to himself. How could he like her THAT way. He only knew her a few days ago yet it seemed his heart only existed when she was there, in front of him. Fear. Yes, fear. He was making a huge mistake by saying that. To tell the truth he was lying to himself by not admiting what he felt.
- I like you... as a friend... - he bit his lip and looked at the lake. He couldn't stand to look in her eyes.

Miseria was still smiling:"That's good or bad?" she asked. She didn't let his hand go.
"But why you keep always looking away? I like you too, but that's not bad!" she said, still looking at him. Her confession was really fast and that's why her cheeks transformed from pink to red. But she wasn't shy. It was good feeling when she really liked some one.

- Y-you like me?! - he asked at the same moment he got away of Miseria. Confused, he took two steps back and looked her in the eyes. He wanted to know more about this "liking" thingy. Nevertheless he was still confused. All the comfort he previsuly had when standing there with her was gone, lost, perhaps forever.
- What do you mean?

Miseria was still looking at him, ignoring that he just stepped away from her. Well what could she wait? "I mean 'I like you'," she said it again. Was it really too hard to understand? She sighed, feeling disapointed. Josh liked her but as a friend.
"I know that we have been just for a few days but... ahh... nevermind," she rolled her eyes. Already knowing that she made herself look even ridiculous than ever, made her feel bad.

How could he stand it? No one can lie to themselves and remain the same. And that was exaclty what he was doing; lying to himself about what he felt for Mis. Not just to himself but to her also. There was no way he could live quietly. Being both from the same House they would probably see each other every single day after the vacations were over. And what would he do? He would probably look away and keep thinking about her every single day. He would look away and he would still love her.

With a swift move, he took some steps over to Miseria and, closing his eyes, he kissed her. A simple kiss that meant so much. He dind't like her. No. He loved her.

Josh wasn't the only one who fought with himself inside. Miseria felt like a sick person. She had told him the truth. It seemed to her that Josh didn't like her in this way. Only like a friend... Nothing more. And he told her, that he likes her as a friend.

When she felt his lips on her's, Miseria closed her eyes and kissed him back. Her heart was beating fast, like it wanted to jump out of her. Her hands find a way to his shoulders and then, finally, she could touch his cheeks.

There they were, all alone in the cold morning that had seen the borth of their love. There was no one that could interfere. No one to take him away. No living soul that could tell him to stop. Nothing...

- I love you - the words rushed out of his mouth as if they were alive and they were honest and above all, true. And they stayed there, holding each other with no one that could see or ear a single thing, in the snow... in the winter.

Miseria smiled, her eyes still closed. She was happy. Standing there, In the middle of this snow kingdom, she found someone who could fill the empty space in her heart. Her hands were placed gently on Josh's cheeks, she felt the warmth what came from him. They were really alive. It wasn't a dream!

"I love you, too," she confessed. This was like love from the first sight. They both didn't even know each other so much, but Miseria's feelings were deep already.
