Robert had been grinning like an idiot for days on end. He had sent a note to her after the issue in the library (and outside the library) and all had been forgiven. He was impressed by her forgiving nature and made sure that Artemis came with him to the beach he wanted to go to.

She had mentioned she couldn't swim which did pose a little bit of a problem but Robert soon dismissed it. He'd teach her and she would be swimming in no time. It was that thought that carelessly reminded him that he was a teacher and her teacher no less.

Shaking his head and deciding that he was doing nothing wrong, Robert laid a few towels on the sand and stuck an umbella into it. The stupid thing popped up almost immediately and hit him in the nose. Cursing under his breath, Robert stepped away from the umbrella and walked down to the water.

It was a warm day and he knew that as the day went on it would become warmer and warmer. Robert didn't mind, he was more worried about Artemis. She had some serious mood swings and definitely didn't know what she wanted. Robert hoped that if they spent some time together when they weren't so emotionally charged then she'd figure out what she wanted. Robert just wanted to get to know the girl.

Sinking further into the water, Robert dived under the water and let it warm him up. He resurfaced and pushed his wet hair out of his eyes. He had missed swimming far too much.

Artemis arrived on the beach with a swiming costume 0n and a sarong around her waist. Her hair was pulled up away from her face and as she looked out at the ocean she saw Robert swimming. He was in his element, that she could tell.

Smiling to herself, Artemis looked over and saw a rather annoyed looking umbrella standing over some towels. She laughed to herself and decided that Robert had obviously had a brush with the poor thing. She put her bag down next to the umbrella and sat down the towel.

She wasn't sure about the swimming thing but she trusted him not to let her drown. Artemis knew she was being silly. She hated fire and was often quite skittish when she saw the fire simmering gently in the Slytherin Common room. If she didn't like fire and didn't like water then she was starting to wonder if there was any hope for her at all.

Robert sighed in content. He loved the way the water moved around him and was sure Artemis would love it too once she got over that irrational fear of water she had. Artemis had just walked onto the beach and Robert's eyes were on her like ants on sugar. Robert was once again entranced by the beauty of the woman on the beach.

She was no child like many would say so. No, she was a woman. One that had seen things in her life that no one should see. She had, had so much pain handed to her on a silver platter during her years and now all she needed was a little thin ray of happiness.

Robert walked though the water and back to the shore. She was a beauty up close as well as afar. He wanted to kiss her hard and profess his love to her. He also wanted to buy a donkey and live in a house in Singapore for a month but that was another matter he could deal with in time.

Walking onto the sand, Robert beamed at her. He sat down on the towel beside hers and planted a gentle kiss at the side of her mouth. He knew he didn't need much to make her blush and he hoped that would be it.

"I have missed you." he murmured in her ear.

Robert had obviously noticed her and he stood up out of the water. Droplets of water fell off of his muscled chest like a waterfall and Artemis couldn't help but be entranced by it. Shaking her head with a smile, she took her sketch book from her bag and furiously began to sketch out Robert. She knew he would like it, he had an ego like that.

Robert beamed when he walked onto the sand. He flopped down onto the towel beside hers and kissed the side of her mouth. Artemis felt her face heat up, he knew which buttons to push and she didn't know if she liked that or not.

"I have missed you." he mumured against her ear. Artemis stiffened, she didn't know how close he was but if he was going to bait her then she had to get him hot and bothered as well. She didn't like not being in control and he was teasing her whether it was intentional or not.

"I expect you did." she said, setting a satisfied smirk on her face. "Now how about you teach me how to swim?"

She stood up and let the sarong fall to the ground. She walked down towards the water and could feel his eyes on her. She laughed softly to herself. She'd got him right where she wanted him and just couldn't get over the fact that he believed she couldn't swim.

Robert watched as she walked towards the sea. There was a spring in her step and an odd sway to her hips. He watched how she walked into the water and he finally remembered why they were there.

Robert got to his feet and ran down the beach until he was running through the shallow water. He caught Artemis around the waist and he scowled at her. The satisfied smirk she had on earlier was still there and something clicked in his head. She was goading him!

"I thought you said you couldn't swim." he all but growled.

He tightened his grip around her waist and lifted her up so her legs were wrapped around his middle. He decided he was going to take her deeper so that he could tell if she could swim or not. If he could scare her then the poor niave child woman would admit her fears.

Robert sunk into the warm water and put his hands on her hips to keep her where she was. He was stemming her reaction, just waiting for the bomb to go off.

"Or did you lie to me?" he whispered in her ear.

Artemis walked down into the sea with a smirk on her face. She was happily drifting through the water and swaying her hips in a way that she knew would get his attention.

Artemis heard some slashes and turned slightly to see Robert run through the shallows. She stopped and he caught her by the waist. She giggled and he turned her around to face him.

"I thought you said you couldn't swim." he scowled.

Robert tightened his grip around Artemis' waist and lifted her up. She wrapped her legs around his middle and wrapped her arms around his neck. He started to move down into the deeper waters and Artemis feined fear. She smiled at him and he sunk into the warm water, putting his hands on her hips.

"Or did you lie to me?" he whispered in her ear.

"You tell me.." She smiled and broke out of his grip and swam away from him. She floated back and watched him as he watched her. She grinned at him and dropped under the water.
