Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

((Yes, this thread is open. Yes, you are likely to have some nasty spells fired at you if Mr Malfoy dislikes your presence))

Lucius was careful to take a long and winding route down toward the Forest from where he'd left the open doors of the Entrance Hall. Anyone who happened to glance in his direction would assume he was simply another visitor reminiscing about their school days while they got some fresh air. As they were intended to.

Ducking beneath the shadow of the trees, the darkness of the wood was more disconcerting than he had expected. And Lucius had seen some particularly disconcerting things in his time. Though he drew his wand as he entered, for the unnamed nasties that lurked in the forest were many and varied, he was by expedience compelled to keep it darkened until he had walked well away from the manicured Hogwarts lawns.

"Lumos," he finally breathed, and was greeted with the eerie white glow that all wands produce.

This did not much to dispel the oppressive atmosphere of the forest or to make Lucius feel more at ease, but Lucius had been a Death Eater for most of his life and did not rely on feeling at ease. In fact, the unsettling feeling was logged at the back of his mind among the beasts and darkness as one more reason the students and teachers of Hogwarts would not be keen to enter the forest even if they did suspect something untoward was happening inside.

He pressed further into the forest, carefully sweeping his wand in large motions, hoping its light would illuminate a place appropriate to his needs.

The problem with Ne'os Emof, Lucius thought, was the way he popped up when one least wanted him around. And of course, that thing where he'd defected to the other side. Briefly, Lucius considered disposing of his problem then and there, for no doubt with each day that passed, Emof was happily informing The Order of Death Eater activities and traditions. However, as Lucius intended to change all of those things, it would not become him to be hasty. After all, the Death Eaters were a rambunctious lot and sending them off to dispose of the defectors could keep them entertained for weeks.

"Is that all?" he finally spoke up. "Because as you may be able to see, I have things to do here, Emof."

And of course, he did not wish to do those things with an Order member watching over his shoulder. Somehow, Lucius could feel that his old companion was looking for a fight, or at least a scuffle, and would not leave this place quietly.

Perhaps it would be best if he simply cursed the boy into oblivion after all.

Matt had seen Lucius leave then he saw Neos follow. He had decided he'd better go after them. He kept the mask on as it was his only way to keep his Identity secret. He noticed them start walking down to the forest. He could hear them talking. He jumped into a tree above them. "You boys up to no good?"He laughed. He jumped down. "mind if I join in on the fun"

The ridiculous comment that carried through the darkness overhead held tones somewhat familiar, yet curiously alien at the same time. Trying to place a name to the, well, the lack of a face was for Lucius like that moment when one meets an old acquaintance in the street and spends the entire conversation trying to remember their name, only to recall it half an hour after parting.

However, this was not the time for such sentimentalities. The mask from the ball was just as concealing as the mask of a Death Eater, but it was obvious the cloaked figure had some idea of who he was, none the less.

There was only one solution to that. Lucius' wand twitched and it's light went out. So considerate of Ne'os to keep everything lit for us.

Silencio

"Crucio," he turned it toward the cloaked man before dealing with Emof, in the knowledge that if he didn't, he would shortly lose the advantage. "Arteria Fractum."

Damn Vampires. Blasting their insides apart was probably the only thing that could keep the buggers down.

Matt felt the Silencing charm hit him. No matter his voice was only for snear comments. He saw the cruciatis Curse come his way. He dodged it and it blew up a tree behind him. He laughed silently. He saw the curses hit Neos. If need be he would have to help. He pulled out the two wands. and aimed one each at them. He sent Expluso at Lucius and Expelliarmus at Neos.

((OoC:Lucius wat resource do you use for your spells??))
