Herbology Class 1

Abbey was curious as to why this girl Samantha was late to all of her classes because of, "morning sickness". Abbey thought about what could cause that. She gasped but made it low, so no one could hear. The only thing that she could think of was that pregnancy caused morning sickness! But Samantha couldn't be pregnant...could she?

Elv gave Abbey a friendly smile. She is kind... Since the first day they met. First day at Hogwarts. When Elv heard about Samantha having morning sickness, she shook her head. "Don't mind that, Elv... It's none of your bussiness..." she thought.

Dear Merlin, Samantha Burns was preggers! But like, she wasn't even doing anything to cover it up. Striding into class and blurting out that she had morning sickness like it was nothing. What sort of a way was that to behave?

If that happened to anyone Selwyn knew, the family would tell everyone she had dragonpox or something and then she'd get sent away to the country house "to recuperate" and wouldn't come back to Hogwarts till a year later, even if it did mean being a year behind everyone else. Actually staying at school in Samantha's condition was scandalous. He was kind of surprised the school let her do it.

And then there was the whole issue of what the girl ate, or rather, didn't eat for breakfast, and how exactly did she even get pregnant anyway? Selwyn was old enough to know what the birds and the bees got up to when they loved each other very much, but he was pretty sure the undead didn't work it like that.

Suddenly, herbology was even more interesting than flesh eating plants.

Abbey tried to get Elv's attention, wondering if she knew if Samantha was indeed, pregnant. She waved her hand in front of Elv's face, seeing as they were both sitting next to each other. Elv turned around and noticed Abbey. "Elv, do you think that Samantha's.....pregnant?" she asked, trying to keep her voice to a whisper so no one could hear.

Elv listened to Abbey's question. "Well... Moning sicness is indeed the first recognizion about being pregnant..." she said with a smile. "Samantha surely has a boyfriend, so maybe..." she winked to Abbey. "I love babies, you know..." she giggled.

"Me too, but...." Abbey shook her head, not understanding why Samantha would get pregnant. She was still at Hogwarts for crying out loud! How could she take care of a baby and attend Hogwarts? Abbey shook the idea off and waited for Professor Adeagbo to tell them what their lesson was going to be about.

Elv laughed quietly. "Nah... Don't mind that... She must be had her own reason..." she said quietly to Abbey. Then she paid her attention to professor again.

Abbey nodded and turned back to Professor Adeagbo, trying to pay attention to what she was saying, but her mind kept wandering back to Samantha...

Rory watched Samantha walk into class and wondered. She must be pregnant, Rory thought, I mean morning sickness and...a small bump. She was married to a Slytherin. It all made sense now, but how can she get married, get pregnant and attend Hogwarts is what baffled Rory.
