While all this was going on Nick had been ushering those gathered around the battlefield away, it was no longer safe, with killing curses flying everywhere it was too dangerous for spectators. After making sure many of the young children and their parents were headed back home Nick swung around and observed some of the going’s on. That young Hufflepuff girl really shouldn’t have been here, she was too petite and inexperienced to do much but be a nuissance, though her bravery was admirable. Nick couldn’t let her handle Matt any longer, even with Christabelle with her things were turning. Matt seemed to be steamrolling the both of them, and when a snake, bigger than any he had seen before erupted out of the end of Matt’s wand, Nick bolted forward, placing himself between the girls, his arm’s spread wide. At times Nick really could be capable of moments of bravery, this was one of those times, though he had the perfect skill for the job. As the snake eyed them up and began to bear down on them Nick spoke in Parseltounge, halting the slithering serpent immediately “You and I are the same my brother, your fight is not with we who stand before you but with the one who rules over you. Why should you and I kill each other when you can kill him and gain your freedom? Turn around and do your own bidding my friend, not his, he is not worthy…”
The snake swayed for a moment then hissed violently as it swung around throwing its conjurer to the ground. Matt Lestrange would have to think fast if he wanted to avoid his own creations fury as it bared down on him. Its eyes gleamed red as its goals were set in its head. Behind it Nick took the time to heal whatever injuries his female companions had sustained. “Are you ok?” He found himself saying, more to Christabelle than the girl he did not know.
